There's a lone game in the NHL on Sunday with Dallas traveling to Ottawa for a 5 p.m. EDT start. The Stars and Senators both lost yesterday on the road to Boston and Toronto, respectively. The salaries in this player pool aren't prohibitive to force many difficult choices, so you won't have to dive deep into the bargain bin.

Picks
Anton Khudobin, DAL at OTT ($26): This will be the first start of the campaign for the veteran, and Khudobin's likely to be the most popular goaltender today with Dallas a small road favorite. He's recorded a rock-solid 45-36-16 record with a .920 save percentage and 2.45 GAA through four years with the Stars.
Miro Heiskanen, DAL at OTT ($17): With John Klingberg (lower body) likely still on the shelf, Heiskanen is once again primed to log huge minutes. He played 5:28 of power-play time Saturday and projects to have a breakout campaign in his fourth NHL season.
Denis Gurianov, DAL at OTT ($17): Skating in the middle of the lineup at even strength, Gurianov's 11 shot attempts pace the Stars through the first two contests. He's receiving consistent power-play minutes and probably won't be a popular target.
Shane Pinto, OTT vs. DAL ($16): While the 2019 second-round selection is still looking for his first point this season, his underlying numbers are impressive. Pinto paces the Sens in individual high-danger scoring chances and finished 2020-21 with seven points through his first 12 career appearances. He's also logged a respectable 18:42 of ice time - including 1:21 with the man advantage - to start.
Drake Batherson, OTT vs. DAL ($14): This salary is too low for a top-line player who also skates with the No. 1 power-play unit. Batherson has recorded 10 shot attempts and four individual high-danger scoring chances through two games and recorded an assist in yesterday's loss.
Ryan Suter, DAL at OTT ($12): A less expensive alternative to Miro Heiskanen ($17), Suter is also seeing top power-play minutes and has helped in the secondary categories with five shots and four blocks.
Pans
Matt Murray/Anton Forsberg, OTT vs. DAL ($29/$23): Goaltenders typically offer the highest upside in daily fantasy contests, but there are some concerns with both Murray and Forsberg. After Filip Gustavsson was demoted to the minors Friday, Murray is likely healthy enough to start but he hasn't looked sharp the past two years with a .896 save percentage and 3.07 GAA. The alternative for Ottawa is Forsberg playing on consecutive nights.
Alexander Radulov, DAL at OTT ($22): The veteran only has six shot attempts and hasn't registered a point through two games. His minus-3 rating is also a hindrance in this scoring system.
