Week 4: NFL Best Betting Props

The 2025 National Football League has reached Week 4, and we have an interesting slate of games scheduled for Sunday and Monday. The Thursday Night Football game between the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals wasn't what one could call a thriller, but at least it came right down to the end. In the NFL, the difference between winning and losing is razor thin, but there is a wider margin of error for prop plays.

We went 3-1 in this space in Week 3. Let's pluck some winners and stay in the black as we get ready to head into October. Let's get started!

Cleveland Browns vs. Detroit Lions Prop Plays

*Best lines at time of writing listed

Last week in the early window we backed the Cleveland Browns rushing defense to throw a blanket on Green Bay Packers RB Josh Jacobs. The Browns remained stout on the ground, allowing just 81 rushing yards to the Packers on 31 attempts, or 2.6 yards per carry. Jacobs ended up with 16 totes for just 30 yards, an easy ticket to cash.

This weekend, the Browns head to Ford Field as they look to contain the two-headed rushing monster of RBs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.

On Monday night, Montgomery ran for 151 yards on 12 carries with a pair of touchdowns, while Gibbs amassed 67 yards on 22 carries, while also finding the end zone twice.

It's a tough turnaround on a short week, as Detroit prepares for the lockdown defense of Cleveland. Gibbs has averaged 60.0 rushing yards per game, yet on BetMGM, he has an Over/Under of 64.5 rushing yards. That's a slam-dunk play, and you need to go well Under on that play, and keep backing the Cleveland run D until it starts to show some wear. They shut down Cincinnati's Chase Brown, Baltimore's Derrick Henry and Jacobs. Look for Gibbs to be the next in line.

Best Prop Pick: Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs Under 64.5 Rushing Yards (-110 at Bet365 Sportsbook)

Los Angeles Chargers vs. New York Giants Prop Plays

It's a new era of Big Blue football, as rookie QB Jaxson Dart gets his first NFL start. Head coach Brian Daboll has seen enough of veteran QB Russell Wilson after three games.

Dart is a player who has some dual-threat ability, and he has appeared in games in run packages in two games so far this season.

The Chargers defense is stout, and you can expect the rookie Dart to be running for his life. He is likely to throw plenty of short to intermediate routes, and he should also take off frequently when the pocket collapses. It won't take much to get to seven rushing attempts, especially facing a strong pass rush. A young, athletic quarterback's first instinct is, generally, to run, too.

Best Prop Pick: Giants QB Jaxson Dart Over 6.5 Rushing Attempts (+110 at BetMGM)

Carolina Panthers vs. New England Patriots Prop Plays

Also in the early window Sunday, the Panthers and Patriots battle at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.

Like the Browns, the Patriots rush defense has been fabulous this season, conceding just 181 yards on the ground through three games, and only 2.8 yards per carry. New England is also one of just six teams to yet to allow a run of 20 or more yards. As such, we're going to go low on RB Chuba Hubbard's rushing total.

In that same game, we're going to bank on rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson of the Patriots. Last week, RB Rhamondre Stevenson put the ball on the ground twice. He was in coach Bill Belichick's doghouse in his final seasons, and he drew the ire of Jerod Mayo in his lone season. Now Mike Vrabel has soured on the mistake-prone tailback.

Henderson, the rookie out of Ohio State, has a golden opportunity against a Panthers rush defense that allows 5.4 yards per carry, and that ranks 30th in the NFL with only the Chicago Bears (5.5 YPC) and Buffalo Bills (6.2 YPC) worse. Look for Henderson to hit his Over in this two-pick game.

Best Prop Picks: Panthers RB Chuba Hubbard Under 51.5 Rushing Yards (-115 at BetMGM)

Best Prop Picks: Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson Over 39.5 (-111 at Caesars Sportsbook)
