Which Non-Power 4 Teams Gained The Most in Week 13?

The nation's sweethearts (online, at least) outside the Power Four ranks for a second straight week reside in Annapolis, with the 8-2 Navy Midshipmen gained the most ground in Week 13 on social media, at +1.132%.

The Midshipmen were able to finish atop the nation's leaderboards despite Navy's bye week on Saturday, thanks in large part to the program's place atop the American Conference alongside North Texas and Tulane, who are also 6-1 in AAC play.

Outside of Maryland, the top team this week online was the Mean Green, at +1.090%, thanks to North Texas' 56-24 rout of Rice on Saturday.

That victory in the Space City pushed UNT's year-to-date record to 10-1 overall (and 6-1 in American play), setting up a Friday matinee against Temple with a shot at no less than a tie atop the conference table.

Throw in FBS newcomer Missouri State at No. 3 nationally (at +0.763%) and another pair of AAC members (Tulane and East Carolina) and you have this week's top five movers on social media covered.

For the Green Wave, Saturday's 37-13 road victory against Temple provided a ninth win for Jon Sumrall's team, moving them to 9-2 overall and 6-1 in AAC play, while the Pirates of ECU fell to UTSA on the road by a final score of 58-24 to snap the program's four-game winning streak.

Of the top five teams outside the Power Four ranks this week, Missouri State gained the most ground overall, jumping 23 spots to No. 3, while North Texas gained 21 spots and Tulane jumped 17 in Week 13.

Who Else Made the List This Week?

The other big-time social media mover in Week 13 was Kennesaw State, who also gained 23 spots to place sixth overall, with a week-over-week jump of 0.669%, social media follower wise.

Throw in the New Mexico Lobos (+21 spots/+0.606%), Kent State Golden Flashes (+five spots/+0.518%), UConn Huskies (+nine spots/+0.508%) and the James Madison Dukes (+29 spots/+0.484%) and you have the top 10 covered outside the Power Four this week.

This week, those five teams went 3-2, with the Owls of Kennesaw State and Kent State losing, though the Owls fell to another social media darling, in Missouri State (41-34), while the Golden Flashes lost to Central Michigan, 28-16. Conversely, New Mexico beat Air Force, 20-3, while UConn survived against FAU (48-45) and JMU held on in Harrisburg against Washington State, 24-20.

The rest of our social media movers in Week 13 included No. 11 Akron, at +0.416%, followed by Georgia Southern (+0.414%), Ohio (+0.397%), San Diego State (+0.389%) and Florida International (+0.353%).

Of that latter quintet, the Eagles gained the most ground, jumping 34 spots to No. 12, while SDSU shot up by 33 places to No. 14 and FIU by 22 spots to No. 15 among the non-Power Four set.
