2024 Fantasy Outlook
After being selected by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2023 draft, Boutte caught two passes for 17 yards while playing in four games. At six foot, 217 pounds, Boutte tested poorly before his rookie season. The receiver posted a 50th percentile 40-yard dash time. In addition, Boutte’s explosiveness testing was in the 23rd percentile. Finally, he had a 43rd percentile agility score. After the Patriots added Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker in the draft, it may be difficult for the former LSU player to have a prominent role in the Patriots offense, though Boutte should have a chance to earn a role during training camp. RANKS
Two catches versus Cardinals
Boutte was on the field for 45 of a possible 51 snaps on offense in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Cardinals, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Boutte, who once again led the Patriots wide receivers in snaps, finished Sunday's contest with two catches on a team-high five targets for 19 yards. The 2023 sixth-rounder's steady rate of playing time should give him a chance to produce down the stretch, but at his current pace, Boutte is only a fantasy option in deeper formats.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
After a strong first two years at LSU, Boutte appeared to be on his way to being an early round selection in the 2023 NFL Draft. However, during his 2022 junior season with the Tigers, he recorded just 48 catches for 538 yards and two touchdowns on 74 targets. Then, following subpar results at the combine, Boutte tumbled to the Patriots in the sixth round of April's draft. Given where he was taken, the 5-11, 195-pounder isn't guaranteed a key role as a rookie, let alone a roster spot. Still, the potential is there for Boutte (formerly a standout college recruit) to bounce back as a pro and turn into a huge bargain for New England.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Emergence led to Thornton push
Mike Reiss of ESPN.com relays that the Patriots' decision to waive 2022 second-round pick Tyquan Thornton on Saturday was in part due to Boutte's emergence over the course of the regular season.
ANALYSIS
Boutte didn't see a snap in the Patriots' regular-season opener against the Bengals and was a healthy scratch for Week 2 against the Seahawks, but the 2023 sixth-round pick has slowly seen his usage increase over the course of the year. He has played at least 80 percent of New England's offensive snaps over the past five games, and over that span he has logged 13 catches on 23 targets for 203 yards and one touchdown. While he may not see as many looks from rookie quarterback Drake Maye compared to Demario Douglas or tight end Hunter Henry, Boutte has an opportunity to demand more targets during the second half of the 2024 regular season.
