This article is part of our DFS College Basketball series.
It's another action packed day in college basketball, with double-digit games on both DFS sites and eight top-25 teams in action. DraftKings features the $15 Pull Up Jumper with a $3,000 top prize, while FanDuel headlines their $7.77 All-American and $1,000 to first. DraftKings kicks off the action a half hour earlier at 6:30 p.m. EST.
Top Players
Walker Kessler, F, Auburn ($9,100 DK, $8,700 FD)
Kessler has been one of the most dominant players in the country this season and an excellent fantasy producer for his ability to put up points on both ends of the court. He leads the NCAA with a whopping 4.6 blocks per game, including 31 over his last four games. Kessler has also been a difficult matchup on the offensive end with his 7-1 frame, as he's shooting 74 percent from inside the arc. With three 50+ point fantasy games over his last four, he's worth paying up for.
Jaden Ivey, G, Purdue ($8,000 DK, $7,700 FD)
I expect a bounce-back game from Ivey tonight after a couple of mediocre performances in which the typically-dominant Boilermakers offense looked flat as a whole. A matchup against a Northwestern squad that is just 5-9 in conference should be a great spot to do just that, as Purdue scored 80 on them in the first matchup between these teams. The likely future lottery pick has been extremely efficient this year, shooting 47 percent with 1.9 threes made per game.
Middle Tier
Garrison Brooks, F, Mississippi St. ($6,800 DK, $6,900 FD)
Brooks has established himself as a solid contributor in the paint and second scoring option behind Iverson Molinar in his first season with the Bulldogs. He's now recorded four straight games with at least 30 fantasy points and played well in his first matchup against Alabama with a double-double. Brooks has also seen increased playing time recently, logging 34 minutes in three straight games.
Paul Mulcahy, G, Rutgers ($6,700 DK, $7,300 FD)
Mulcahy becomes a difficult fade at this price tag, getting a $600 discount compared to FanDuel. He has far exceeded this salary of late, having scored at least 28 fantasy points in each of his last five games. His upside was shown with a 31-point performance against Northwestern, and the junior wing provides a safe floor with his ability to produce on the glass and in the passing game. Expect him to see at least 35 minutes as long as the game stays competitive.
Values
El Ellis, G, Louisville ($4,800 DK, $5,000 FD)
Ellis rejoined the starting lineup in favor of Noah Locke last time out and responded with a solid 13 points, including three 3-pointers. He also showed his upside potential earlier this month with 25 points against UNC and is shooting an impressive 39 percent from deep this season. Ellis is leading Louisville in usage rate and should get plenty of good opportunities against Miami, who ranks 166th in KenPom's defensive efficiency metric.
Olivier Prosper, F, Marquette ($4,200 DK, $4,300 FD)
The highest over/under on tonight's slate leads us to the matchup between Georgetown and Marquette, and is an especially good one for the Golden Eagles against a winless conference opponent that pushes the pace. Propser has been heating up as of late, averaging 9.8 points on 73 percent shooting through 24.4 minutes over his last five games. He scored 22 points in their first meeting last month.
