2025 Fantasy Outlook
Landry signed a three-year, $43.5 million contract ($26 million fully guaranteed) with the Patriots this offseason, thus reuniting the linebacker with his former head coach Mike Vrabel. The 29-year-old is coming off a 2024 campaign in which recorded 71 tackles, including 9.0 sacks, while also adding four pass defenses over 17 regular-season games with the Titans. The Boston College product should be able to produce similar numbers while assuming a starting OLB role for New England. Read Past Outlooks

Landry (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Landry was cleared to play through an ankle injury during the Patriots' Week 7 win over the Titans, when he logged three tackles (two solo), including 1.0 sacks, while playing 37 of 53 defensive snaps (69.8 percent). He had his snaps limited in Wednesday's practice session, but a full practice Thursday or Friday would put him on track to play against the Browns on Sunday. The 2018 second-rounder has 5.5 sacks through seven regular-season games, which is tied for sixth most in the NFL.

Landry followed up his breakout 2022 season with a similar productive effort in 2023, tallying 10.5 sacks across 17 games. Since his workload peaked in 2020 (1,049 defensive snaps), the Titans have taken Landry off the field a bit more on early downs and instead allowed him to focus the majority of his energy on rushing the passer. That has the potential to hurt his tackle count, but he should continue to get to the quarterback at a strong clip.
Landry has been a key member of the Titans' defense for several consecutive seasons, and he broke out in 2022 with a career-best 12 sacks. He'll now look to remain consistent and excel as both a pass rusher and against the run.
After a disappointing 2020 season, Landry utilized the 2021 campaign to enter into the conversation of elite pass rushers. He logged a career-high 75 tackles but more importantly tallied 12 sacks while forcing a fumble. While his raw production was impressive enough, Landry had 43 quarterback pressures, good for the fifth-highest mark in the league at his position. Landry was rewarded with a five-year deal worth up to $87.5 million in the offseason, and he'll now carry the expectation of applying consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks while paired with Bud Dupree.
Landry broke out in 2019 and established himself as a premier pass-rusher with 9.0 sacks. Entering his third season in the NFL, Landry should prove to be the team's top pass-rusher, pairing with free-agent acquisition Vic Beasley. After taking on a bigger role with the defense last season, Landry will be relied upon to create havoc on opposing offenses consistently in 2020.
Landry is entering his second season in the NFL, recording 4.5 sacks while also forcing a fumble. He closed his rookie campaign on a strong note by recording a sack in each of the team's final two contests. With both Derrick Morgan and Brian Orakpo no longer on the team, Landry's role should be set to expand as a pass-rusher in 2019.

Gets cut loose Friday
LBFree Agent
March 7, 2025
Landry, who'd been given permission to seek a trade in late February, was released by the Titans on Friday, Turon Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The move will save the Titans a total of $10.9 million in cap space if he's designated as a pre-June 1 cut and $17.5 million if Landry's release is designated as a post-June 1 move. The move certainly isn't performance-related, considering Landry led the Titans with 9.0 sacks, marking his third consecutive season with at least that amount, and played on a team-high 83.1 percent of the defensive snaps in 2024.
