With the college basketball season set to tip off Nov. 3, and roster/transfer portal decisions largely finalized, it's time to rank players for upcoming fantasy college basketball drafts. A panel of three college basketball experts on the staff collaborated to construct these rankings based purely on fantasy outlook for the 2025-26 season -- they do not take into account pro outlook or prospect status.
College Basketball Fantasy Rankings: Power Conference Top-150
To coincide with the most popular formats, this listed is limited to players in "Power 5" conferences -- ACC, Big 12, Big 10, Big East and SEC. So, for example, you won't see Graham Ike appear here. An overall top-150 is currently in progress and likely headed to the site shortly.
This player list is primarily for points leagues (DraftKings scoring) in formats that start G, F/C and UTIL positions. The rankings may change slightly for rotisserie leagues, so be sure to check out our 2025-26 college basketball projections -- which are sortable by category and offer the ability to filter by conference -- if you'd like to adjust for leagues that value categories over total fantasy points.
The rankings also may not coincide perfectly with projections data if you choose to export that and create your formula. The differences is that these rankings factor upside into account, while projections are generally a bit more conservative.

Top 20 Fantasy College Basketball Players for 2025-26
We'll start with a numbered list that includes commentary, but will include the overall list in a tidy table format at the bottom. Let's get to it.
1. Braden Smith, G, Purdue
Smith is the top-producing player on arguably the top team in the country. He contributes in every category and probably leads the country in assists. The only downside of going with him No. 1 overall is you'll miss out on the top forward tier, which thins out far faster than guards. Otherwise, essentially a can't-miss pick. Odds-on favorite to win Wooden Award at +400.
2. JT Toppin, F, Texas Tech
Same coach and team that led to 18.2 ppg and 9.4 rpg last year. Plus, the Red Raiders lose Darrion Williams (15.1 ppg) and Chance McMillian (14.2 ppg), so there's plenty more scoring available. +1500 to win Wooden Award (T5th).
3. Trey Kaufman-Renn, F, Purdue
Put up 20.1 ppg last year and now enters his fourth year with the program. Might not rebound as much with Oscar Cluff entering via the portal, but at 6.5 rpg last year, that wasn't his main source of production anyway.
4. Darryn Peterson, G, Kansas
Our top freshman, Peterson takes the reins for a Kansas team that lost its top-6 scorers from a year ago. Consensus five-star player and top-3 recruit. Will also provide hefty rebounds, assists and steals. Second-best odds to win Wooden Award at +850.
5. Yaxel Lendeborg, F, Michigan
Transfer from UAB set to start at center for the Wolverines. Third in the country at 11.4 rpg last season and also the team's top projected scorer. +1500 odds to win Wooden Award (T5th).
6. Milos Uzan, G, Houston
Do-it-all contributor for a Houston team with title aspirations. The Cougars also lost key players in LJ Cryer (15. 7ppg) and J'Wan Roberts (10.6 ppg, 6.5 rpg). Team pace is the only red flag here.
7. Zuby Ejiofor, F, St. John's
Last year's breakout star and league-winner, Ejiofor is a double-double machine that returns for a Red Storm team with title hopes. Yes, Bryce Hopkins is in the mix and will provide plenty of scoring, but Ejiofor is the man on the glass for a fast-paced team poised to produce plenty of counting stats.
8. PJ Haggerty, G, Kansas State
Coming off back-to-back seasons with 21+ ppg at Tulane and Memphis, Haggerty's can finally crack our "power conference" rankings. His skills will easily transfer to the Big 12, especially on a team that needs a primary scorer.
9. Darrion Williams, F, NC State
Entering his senior year after 15.1 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 3.6 apg and 1.3 spg last season with Texas Tech. Prized transfer portal acquisition for first-year coach Will Wade.
10. Nate Bittle, C, Oregon
Not a sexy pick, but Bittle is a fifth-year senior coming off averages of 14.2 ppg and 7.6 rpg. He again has a solid point guard in Jackson Shelstad that will find him around the basket.
11. Richie Saunders, G, BYU
He's the reason top NBA prospect A.J. Dybantsa isn't ranked higher. Entering fourth season at BYU and coming off a year with averages of 16.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.6 apg.
12. Donovan Dent, G, UCLA
A senior transfer from New Mexico coming off an incredible year that saw averages of 20.4 ppg and 6.4 apg. Gets a tempo reduction with Mick Cronin's offense, but no reason those skills can't carry over to the Big 10.
13. Tucker DeVries, F, Indiana
Was looking at a Wooden-type year after posting 14.9 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.8 apg, 1.8 spg and 1.5 bpg through eight games at West Virginia, but went down with a season-ending shoulder injury. Followed his father and head coach Darian DeVries to Indiana, where the duo will look to bring the program back into relevance.
14. Cameron Boozer, F, Duke
Son of former NBA star Carlos Boozer, Cameron and his twin brother Cayden will look to help Duke repeat as ACC champions. Cameron gets the nod due to the scoring/rebounding combo, the fact he's the higher-rated recruit (consensus top-5), as well as Duke needing help more at the wings than it does in the backcourt.
15. Markus Burton, G, Notre Dame
Notre Dame simply doesn't have anybody else. Burton could realistically lead the country in scoring after logging 21.3 ppg in 2024-25.
16. Ja'Kobi Gillespie, G, Tennessee
Saw averages of 14.7 ppg, 4.8 apg, 2.8 rpg and 1.9 spg last year with Maryland and is now set to take over at point guard for Rick Barnes and the Vols. Will share touches with five-star Nate Ament, but expect the ball to be in Gillespie's hands when the team needs a basket.
17. Otega Oweh, G, Kentucky
The primary reason for Mark Pope's success in his first year at Kentucky, Oweh should take another step as a senior following a season that saw averages of 16.2 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 1.7 apg and 1.6 spg.
18. Bryce Hopkins, F, St. John's
Hopkins hasn't stayed healthy for a full season since 2022-23, but hes a 15+ ppg, 8+ rpg guy getting a significant pace boost with the move to St. John's. Still an NBA-hopeful talent, Hopkins will produce regardless of sharing a frontcourt with Zuby Ejiofor.
19. Bruce Thornton, G, Ohio State
Already with 102 collegiate games under his belt at Ohio State, Thornton enters his senior year following a 2024-25 campaign that saw averages of 17.7 ppg, 4.6 apg and 3.4 rpg.
20. Joshua Jefferson, F, Iowa State
While he's not getting the love in terms of Wooden Award odds or other sites' top forward lists, Jefferson is entering his senior year -- second under TJ Otzelberger -- looking to make another leap after putting up 13.0 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 3.1 apg and 2.1 spg in 2024-25. Could be relied on more if Tamin Lipsey's (knee) absence extends beyond the start of the season.
