FORWARDS
Robert Lewandowski, BAY v. AJA (€27): Lewandowski opened his UCL account with a goal in Bayern's group stage opener, and with Bayern big favorites at home against Ajax he boasts the highest anytime goal scorer odds of any player on the slate. He's one of the best finishers in the world and this is a spot where a multi-goal game could be in the cards.
Edin Dzeko, ROM v. PLZ (€25): Dzeko uncharacteristically has just one goal through his first seven games to start the season, but at home to Plzen presents a prime opportunity for him to show off his goal-scoring exploits. Roma are in need of a win here to get back on track in Group G, so look for Dzeko to be fed early and often with Roma heavy home favorites.
Mariano, RMD at CSK (€16): With Gareth Bale and Isco already ruled out through injuries, Mariano could earn his first ever start for Real Madrid. He bagged a goal off the bench in their 3-0 triumph over Roma, and with Madrid shorthanded in attack he'll be looked to for more production in Moscow.
MIDFIELDERS
Nabil Fekir, LYN v. SDK (€22): Fekir orchestrated Lyon's dream start to UCL play with 18 fantasy points thanks to a goal and an assist in their shock win at Manchester City. He'll look to carry that momentum into Tuesday's match with Shakhtar, as a win would give them a nice cushion at the top of Group F through the first two games.
Arjen Robben, BAY v. AJA (€22): Robben topped double digits despite not hitting the scoresheet in Bayern's opening UCL win over Benfica, getting off four shots, including three on target. He should continue to get looks in what should be an open game against Ajax, putting all Bayern attackers in play depending on how the starting lineup shakes out.
Toni Kroos, RMD at CSK (€18): Kroos hit 11.65 points through a cluster of peripherals, and with some key ingredients to the Real Madrid attack missing out in Moscow, he'll be leaned on even more. His salary gives us a slight discount compared to other key attackers, and he's shown on multiple occasions that he does enough to flirt with double digits even without the goals and assists.
DEFENDERS
Joshua Kimmich, BAY v. AJA (€18): Thanks to a yellow card, Kimmich came away with just four points despite helping Bayern see out a clean sheet in their UCL opener. The low total could steer some game log watchers off, but anyone who's seen Kimmich knows he's capable of single-handedly being the difference maker in tournaments. He's in a good spot to collect another clean sheet bonus, and in a game where Bayern are expected to dominate at home, there's reason to think he gets involved on the scoresheet, too.
Aleksandar Kolarov, ROM v. PLZ (€18): Kolarov managed 8.40 fantasy points despite falling 3-0 at Real Madrid to kick Champions League play off. He's in a much better matchup at home against Plzen, and he converted a stunning free kick goal in Serie A action Saturday to remind us of the upside he brings.
Jesus Vallejo, RMD at CSK (€10): We'll need to plug some values in to get the heavy artillery, and Vallejo gives us exposure to the Real Madrid defense at minimum price. An away match in Moscow isn't a clean sheet lock by any means, but Madrid are still big favorites on the road, so a shutout bonus from the bargain bin is a real possibility.
GOALKEEPER
Robin Olsen, ROM v. PLZ (€14): As expected, Olsen and Roma dropped their Group G opener to Real Madrid. They currently sit at the bottom of the group, but a home game against Viktoria Plzen, who lost their last two away games by a combined 7-0 score, could be just what the doctor ordered to get them back on track.
