2025 Fantasy Outlook
Guimaraes started all 38 matches in 2024/25, showing his ability to stay healthy after start 37 the prior campaign. The Brazilian broke the 10-goal contribution (five goals, six assists) mark again with 11, though his overall attacking numbers were down slightly. He's a key piece to how Newcastle play in the midfield and his role isn't going to change, but there is a chance for less time in league play due to Champions League football next season. The other downside is that his goals and assists are fairly random with a lot of them coming from rebounds or scraps in the box.
Suffers ankle injury

Guimaraes was forced off right before the break in Wednesday's 3-0 victory against PSV in the Champions League due to an ankle injury, coach Eddie Howe confirmed in a press conference, according to Lee Ryder from Chronicle Live. "He's a little bit sore & there's a little bit of swelling around his ankle. We hope it's not serious but it's difficult to know. It's a worry that he's had to come off."
ANALYSIS
Guimaraes couldn't make it to the break in Wednesday's Champions League win against PSV after suffering an ankle injury. The midfielder will likely be assessed in the coming hours to determine the extent of the injury and hope it is nothing major, as he was already sad in the post-game presser, saying he didn't want to miss much time due to the issue. If the injury proves to be significant, Lewis Miley and Joe Willock are the main options to start in the heart of the game in his spot for the Magpies until he returns.

Manchester United are interested in signing Bruno Guimaraes, according to TeamTalk.
ANALYSIS
Manchester United are looking to bolster their midfield in the summer, and the Brazil international is one of the top names on the club's list. However, it's going to be hard to sign him. Newcastle aren't keen on parting ways with one of their club captains, and even if they do, it's unclear if Manchester United would have enough money to sign him.
