SLATE PREVIEW

Despite it being a busy night, none of the 20 teams playing Tuesday are the same as the 10 squads that competed Monday. However, Dallas, Montreal and Washington are playing in the first half of a back-to-back set tonight, which might influence those teams' lineup decisions.

GOALIES

Scott Wedgewood, COL vs. VAN ($8,000): Wedgewood has been about as good as anyone this year, posting a 13-1-3 record, 2.08 GAA and .920 save percentage in 18 appearances. He's got a good chance of earning another win against Vancouver, which is in freefall with a 2-5-3 record over its past 10 games.

Andrei Vasilevskiy, TBL at NYI ($7,800): Vasilevskiy has won his past six outings, stopping 162 of 169 shots (.959 save percentage) over that span. He now owns an 11-5-2 record, 2.32 GAA and .915 save percentage through 18 appearances this season. While he's hot, the Islanders are trending in the other direction, dropping four of their past five games (1-3-1).

Jeremy Swayman, BOS at DET ($7,500): Swayman has allowed just six goals on 132 shots (.955 save percentage) across his past four appearances. A lack of offensive support denied him the four straight wins he deserved over that stretch, but he still posted a 3-1-0 record, bringing him up to 11-6-0 with a 2.62 GAA and a .915 save percentage in 17 outings overall this season. It seems fair to say that he's rebounded after a rough 2024-25 campaign.

VALUE PLAYS

Carter Verhaeghe, FLA vs. TOR ($5,000): Verhaeghe will enter Tuesday's action amid a three-game scoring streak in which he's collected two goals and five points. That brings him up to four goals and 16 points in 24 appearances this season. He's still well behind his pace from his back-to-back 70-plus point regular seasons in 2022-23 and 2023-24, but Verhaeghe is cheap enough to make him worthy of consideration while he's on a roll.

Ivan Demidov, MON vs. OTT ($5,000): Demidov had a rough patch from Nov. 6-15 in which he had just one assist in five outings, but he's bounced right back with two goals and six points over his past six appearances. It's not unusual for young forwards to be particularly inconsistent, but he's a great add whenever he's hot.

Easton Cowan, TOR at FLA ($4,500): The 20-year-old rookie has shown a lot of promise recently, supplying two goals and four points across his past five games. It helps that he's logging big minutes with an average of 18:38 of ice time, including 2:30 with the man advantage, over that span.

FORWARD LINE STACKS

Lightning at Islanders

Anthony Cirelli (C - $6,000), Nikita Kucherov (W - $7,700), Brandon Hagel (W - $7,200)

Hagel set a career high with 35 goals during the 2024-25 regular season, and he might do even better this year. He's scored an incredible eight goals -- and four assists -- across his past five outings, which gives him 15 goals and 27 points on the season. Of course, it helps to be playing with Kucherov, who is on a nine-game scoring streak in which he's collected four goals and 18 points. That brings him up to 11 markers and 32 points through 23 outings.

By contrast, Cirelli is a touch cold after being held off the scoresheet each of his past two games, but he still has nine goals and 17 points in 21 appearances this season, so he's not a bad pickup to round out this talented line.

Stars at Rangers

Wyatt Johnston (C - $7,500), Mikko Rantanen (W - $7,500), Jamie Benn (W - $4,800)

With three goals and six points in seven outings since returning from an upper-body injury, Benn would have been a good fit for the Value Plays section. His recent production is only part of the reason for taking him. His linemates are the other half of that equation.

Rantanen's first full season with Dallas is shaping up to be a great one. He already has 10 goals and 33 points through 25 outings, including five assists over his past two games. Meanwhile, Johnston has been even hotter with five goals and nine points across his last four outings, giving him 16 goals and 30 points through 26 appearances.

DEFENSEMEN

Cale Makar, COL vs. VAN ($7,800): Makar is on a four-game scoring streak in which he's collected a goal and four points. That's a hot streak for others, and just a normal stretch for Makar. He has nine goals and 32 points in 25 outings this campaign.

Jake Sanderson, OTT at MON ($6,000): Sanderson has contributed two goals and five points over his active three-game scoring streak. He reached the 20-point mark (five goals) in his 25th game of 2025-26 on Sunday.

Lane Hutson, MON vs. OTT ($6,000): Hutson has been held off the scoresheet just once over his past six outings, giving him three goals and six points over that stretch. He has four goals and 20 points through 24 appearances, so there aren't any signs of a sophomore slump here.
