Last Week's Humana Challenge
Again, a third-round leader has failed to win. This time we have two: Scott Stallings had a five-shot lead after 54 holes and Justin Rose failed to win after leading for three rounds.
Again, the younger guys churned away atop the leaderboard all week. Sophomores Jason Kokrak, Robert Castro and rookie James Hahn put up 9-under 63s in round one. Castro and Hahn had 5-under 67s to get to -14 at the second; Stallings had a 9-under 63 in the third round that gave him a bullet-proof five-shot lead at 22-under.

Then Stallings, who proved he wasn't bullet proof, bogeyed the last hole to top off his poor round.
In his second PGA start, David Lingmerth shared Sunday's low round of the day with a 10-under 62. Kokrak, Castro Hahn and Lingmerth and many others will look at courses that are far more testing than the generous pro-am setups of the Humana.
And on the "when-oh-when" side is Charles Howell III, who now has 14 runners-up but stuck with only two wins.

Yahoo!/PGATour.com fantasy gamers should act accordingly.
In 2011, second-place Phil Mickelson said the South course requires conservative play because aggressive play doesn't yield any better results than conservative. Reference our stats grid for bogeys.
Tiger Woods has long been known for dominating at certain venues. Torrey Pines is one of three courses where Woods has won eight times - seven in PGA Tour events plus his U.S. Open win in 2008. His degree of comfort here was at its best in 2008 inasmuch as he won at Torrey Pines in both January and June. In 1999, he tied the tournament record of 266 and the course record of 62, which was topped by Brandt Snedeker's 61 in 2007.
Woods' play last week was quashed by a double-bogey penalty in the second round of his first 2013 start, forcing a cut at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship.
He'll straighten things up this week.
Last Five Winners:
2012 - Brandt Snedeker, 16-under, P1; Kyle Stanley, P2
2011 - Bubba Watson, 16-under
2010 - Ben Crane, 13-under
2009 - Nick Watney, 11-under
2008 - Tiger Woods, 15-under
2011 Low rounds:
Round 1: 10-under 62, Spencer Levin, Kyle Stanley
Round 2: 8-under 64, Brandt Snedeker, Bobby Gates
Round 3: 7-under 65, Jonas Blixt
Round 4: 5-under 67, Brandt Snedeker, Bud Cauley
Player attributes: Both courses need long balls off the tee. North also needs driving accuracy and scrambling (small greens). Both courses require experience (last first-time winner was Jay Don Blake in 1991), course management, proximity to hole along with talented putting.
