Golf Barometer: Tweeting the Masters

This article is part of our Golf Barometer series.

We live in a Twitter world, so here are your Twitter predictions for the top names at the Masters:

Tiger Woods:
Crazy that he's the favorite. I don't fully trust his putter, which means I can't pick him here. Call: Outside Top 10

Rory McIlroy:
The 2011 meltdown was the perfect learning experience. He's all growns up now, as they said in "Swingers." Sorry, Tiger, it's not your world anymore. Call: McIlroy wins

Phil Mickelson:
He's in form, and he loves this place. The putting is no longer a weekly thing, but his scrabbling is divine. Call: Top 5

Luke Donald:
If he was going to win a major, why hasn't it happened yet? The first one is always the hardest. He'll win one when no one is expecting it. Call: Outside Top 20

Lee Westwood:
He's better suited for a major where putting isn't quite this critical. If he misses a few early shorties, it all goes downhill. Call: T17

Justin Rose:
He has one Top 10 here for his career. Local knowledge is critical, and he hasn't acquired it yet. Call: Outside Top 25

Hunter Mahan:
There's no reason why he can't win back-to-back events. Any win is hard, so any back-to-back looks hard. He still isn't 30 yet; the stardom is right on schedule. Call: Top 10

Adam Scott:
His caddy, Stevie Williams, might want it more than Scott does. Then again, Scott tied for second last year and Charl Schwartzel had to play very well to

His caddy, Stevie Williams, might want it more than Scott does. Then again, Scott tied for second last year and Charl Schwartzel had to play very well to beat him. Call: T17

Jason Day:
You can't name me five bigger talents who don't have a major. He's going to be a four-round story. Call: Top 5

Charl Schwartzel:
He snuck up on the field last year and no one expects a repeat, so he might just do it again. But does he look sharp to you right now? Call: Outside Top 30

Bubba Watson:
The driving range of Augusta will fit him, but can he tone it down when it's needed? I haven't seen proof of it. Call: Missed cut

Steve Stricker:
Why doesn't he love this place? Why is his record so ordinary here? This should be a perfect match for Stricker, but maybe the greens have him psyched out. Call: Outside Top 20

Matt Kuchar:
His biggest strength is that he doesn't realize that his skills are merely good, not extraordinary. OK, he's a sound putter, too. His annoying smile will be on display Sunday. Call: Top 10

Nick Watney:
I called him the best American Player three months ago - mulligan please. Something looks horribly awry. Call: Missed cut

Sergio Garcia:
I actually like him at the later majors, but there's too much thinking and psyching out at this place. Not for Sergio. Call: Outside Top 30

Peter Hanson:
The best player you know nothing about. Study up. Call: Top 15

Martin Kaymer:
Something's happened to him since the PGA Championship victory, which I thought was a springboard. But the light could switch on at any time. Call: Top 25

Keegan Bradley:
I love his game but he's never been here. It takes time, youngster. Call: Missed cut

Fred Couples:
One more time, with feeling. He's still a great ball-striker and putter when his back gives him a break. Call: Top 25

Ian Poulter:
He's questioning himself on the course, and you can't do that here. He'll be heard from in 2012, but not this week. Call: Missed cut
