Hayek (shoulder) reverted to the Chiefs' injured reserve Thursday after going unclaimed off waivers, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Hayek signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Villanova in May. He has been held out of practices and preseason games since sustaining a shoulder injury in early August.
