2024 Fantasy Outlook
Presumably, gone are the days when Moore was viewed as a breakout candidate. The third-year wideout received ample opportunity over his first two seasons and has little to show for it, finishing with similar lines of 22-250-0 and 21-244-1 over his first two NFL campaigns. The Chiefs unsurprisingly prioritized the position this offseason, adding speedsters Marquise Brown (free agency) and Xavier Worthy (first-round draft pick). While Rashee Rice's likely suspension adds a wrinkle of temporary playing time, Moore joins Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson and Justyn Ross, among others, vying for what has shown to be fantasy-irrelevant reps in the Chiefs offense. Fails to make impact Week 1

Moore played 10 offensive snaps (19 percent) but was not targeted in the Chiefs' 27-20 win over the Ravens on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Moore wasn't able to record any offensive statistics in Kansas City's season-opener. Rookie first-round pick Xavier Worthy logging a two-TD debut effectively curtails any lingering hope that Moore will have a late breakout, especially once Marquise Brown (shoulder) manages to get healthy. With Rashee Rice, Worthy and Brown all available, Moore may not end up being active on game days.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
Things looked promising last spring when Moore went 54th overall to a team with an elite offense that had just lost top receiver Tyreek Hill. Once the season started there was a lot less to like, as Moore was merely the No. 4 WR and miscast as a return specialist -- a job he was removed from mid-season after a series of muffs/fumbles. Moore was prolific producer at Western Michigan with 2,482 receiving yards and 16 TDs in 30 games in three seasons, and he backed it up at the 2022 combine by running a 4.41 40 at 5-10, 195 (though he was merely average in the jumps and agility drills). He turns 23 in September and has second-year breakout appeal despite managing only 250 receiving yards as a rookie, with the Chiefs moving on from JuJu Smith-Schuster this offseason and only bringing in second-round pick Rashee Rice and journeyman Richie James. The other leading candidates for WR snaps are one-trick-pony Marquez Valdes-Scantling and oft-injured 2021 first-round pick Kadarius Toney, so a full-time role for Moore isn't out of the question.
The Chiefs didn't use their extra first-round pick on a wideout to replace Tyreek Hill, but they did grab Moore in the second round, 54th overall. While not quite an athletic freak like Hill or even new teammate Mecole Hardman, the Western Michigan product didn't hurt his cause at the 2022 Combine, where he had average times in the jumping and agility drills and ran a 4.41 40- yard dash at 5-10, 195. It’s really his tape and production that stand out, starting with an 800- yard season as a true freshman in what was his first year playing wide receiver (he was a QB in high school). Moore ultimately caught 171 passes for 2,482 yards and 17 TDs in three seasons at WMU, averaging 82.7 yards per game overall and 107.7 his junior year. He now heads to Kansas City, where he’ll join Hardman and free-agent additions JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling as the Chiefs try to replace offseason departures Hill, Byron Pringle and Demarcus Robinson. Given the involvement of Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid, there's a good chance at least one of the new wide receivers (or Hardman) has a big season, even with TE Travis Kelce taking his typically large slice of the pie.

Pressure to perform in camp
WRKansas City Chiefs
July 13, 2024
Nate Taylor of The Athletic lists Moore as one of eight Chiefs players to watch during training camp.
ANALYSIS
Moore couldn't take the sophomore leap in 2023, finishing the regular season with just 21 catches on 38 targets for 244 yards and one touchdown across 14 games. He missed the Chiefs' Super Bowl run due to a knee injury, and with Kansas City adding Marquise Brown in free agency and Xavier Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Moore will be primarily competing with Kadarius Toney for regular-season snaps if both end up making the roster. If Moore fails to stand out during training camp, Taylor posits that the Chiefs could move on from the 2022 second-round pick, with a trade creating $1.29 million in salary-cap space.
