2024 Fantasy Outlook
At 5-11, 165 pounds, Worthy becomes one of the thinnest wide receivers in the NFL, with a lower BMI than even DeVonta Smith or new teammate Marquise Brown. Everything else screams upside, including Worthy's prolific college career, combine-record 40 time (4.21) and first-rate team context as part of the Reid/Mahomes show. The speed demon put up 68-981-12 as an 18-year-old true freshman at Texas, and while he had a modest sophomore slump (60-760-9), he bounced back with 75-1,015-5 last season as the target leader for a team that just had three other pass catchers taken in the 2024 NFL Draft. Those target numbers were perhaps inflated by a large number of designed touches on screen passes, but Worthy's comfort level there could end up being a good thing under a screen-happy coordinator like Reid. 2023 second-round pick Rashee Rice nearly broke 1,000 yards last year with a screen-heavy diet and 4.7 aDOT, and it now appears he could miss a portion of 2024 due to legal troubles. If not, the target competition in Kansas City admittedly looks stellar, featuring Rice, Worthy and Brown at wide receiver and Travis Kelce at tight end. Worthy's college production hints at a quick learning curve, whereas his size and age (he turned 21 in April) suggest that might not be the case. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Catches long touchdown
Worthy recorded three catches on four targets for 73 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Worthy is the last of Kansas City's projected top three wide receivers to be healthy, with both Rashee Rice (knee) and Hollywood Brown (shoulder) sidelined for the long term. Worthy likely won't take on huge target volume, but he still showed what he can do with consistent opportunity after breaking free on a go route for a 54-yard touchdown just before halftime. Worthy is likely to remain a boom-bust fantasy option moving forward, but his snap rate should increase significantly while giving his production the opportunity to follow.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Not centerpiece of offense
Coach Andy Reid said Kansas City will not ask Worthy to make up for the loss of Rashee Rice on his own, Adam Teicher of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Worthy is being thrust into the spotlight with Hollywood Brown already likely lost for the season and Rashee Rice expected to face a multi-week absence. However, Reid and the team are trying to keep pressure off the explosive rookie, insisting they'll spread the ball around to other options in the offense. JuJu Smith-Schuster and Skyy Moore are expected to see more playing time and opportunities as well.
