Week 12 - Bye Weeks - DEN, LAC, MIA, WAS.

No More Euro Games!

Welcome to the Weekly Value Meter Rankings. This is a guide to help you decide who to start and sit in a given week. It's is not a season-long ranking nor a draft guide, and it's also not really intended as a free agent guide. While I appreciate that you want my opinion on pickups, every league is different, and your decision on whether to add/drop a particular player might also be dictated by other factors than who is rated higher in a given week.

Here are my operating assumptions for the rankings:

- The RB/WR/TE position rankings are for PPR leagues.
- The Flex rankings are for Standard leagues.
- 1 point per 10 rushing/receiving yards.
- 1 point per 20 passing yards.
- 4 points per passing touchdowns.

These are the fantasy football rankings I use when I make my start/sit decisions. Please consult the rankings first before asking "Should I start Patrick Mahomes or Bryce Young?"

These are my particular rankings. If you want a second opinion elsewhere on the site, you can see our Weekly Projections.

Each week after Week 1, the first set of rankings will be posted late on Tuesday night. I will then do a set of updates before kickoff on Thursday, and again before kickoff on Sunday morning.

When setting your lineups, make sure to refer to the NFL inactives to ensure all of your players are

Quarterbacks

1.Drake Maye NE at CIN
2.Josh Allen BUF at HOU
3.Jalen Hurts PHI at DAL
4.*Matthew Stafford LA vs. TB
Note: Stafford had his worst day as a passer this season, averaging just 4.5 yards per attempt.
5.Dak Prescott DAL vs. PHI
6.*Lamar Jackson BAL vs. NYJ
Note: The lack of running success for Lamar since coming back is a concern. He's had 18 rushes for 60 yards in the three games since coming back, with no touchdowns (and only one rushing touchdown all season).
7.Brock Purdy SF vs. CAR
8.*Patrick Mahomes KC vs. IND
Note: Mahomes was unable to take advantage of Patrick Surtain and Alex Singleton being out last week. The Chiefs' running game has disappeared again, and with it Mahomes's ability to hit bigger plays.
9.Sam Darnold SEA at TEN
10.Daniel Jones IND at KC
11.Baker Mayfield TB at LAR
12.*Jared Goff DET vs. NYG
Note: Coming off a miserable night in Philly, going just 14-of-37. At least he's back indoors for a must-win game against the Giants.
13.Caleb Williams CHI vs. PIT
14.*Jordan Love GB vs. MIN
Note: Love briefly departed with a left shoulder injury, but later returned and connected on some really excellent throws, including the game-winner to Christian Watson.
15.*Jacoby Brissett ARZ vs. JAX
Note: Brissett set an NFL record for completions (47) in the loss to the Niners.
16.*Trevor Lawrence JAC at ARI
Note: Because the Jaguars had such a big lead and because the running game was working so well, Lawrence barely eclipsed 150 yards in the win over the Chargers. At least he had a rushing touchdown to make up the difference.
17.*Bryce Young CAR at SF
Note: Young had an all-timer 'out of nowhere' performance against the Falcons, throwing for 448 yards and three touchdowns.
18.Jameis Winston NYG at DET
19.*Joe Flacco CIN vs. NE
Note: Flacco's shoulder looked like it was holding him back on Sunday. Now he has to face the Pats without Ja'Marr Chase.
20.*J.J. McCarthy MIN at GB
Note: McCarthy was terrible for three quarters against the Bears, but he had some help, especially from Jordan Addison's first quarter drop.
21.*Davis Mills HOU vs. BUF
Note: Mills will get a third consecutive start Thursday against the Bills.
22.Geno Smith LV vs. CLE
23.Cam Ward TEN vs. SEA
24.*Mason Rudolph PIT at CHI
Note: Teammate Aaron Rodgers (wrist) is 50-50 for this week - we know at least that he won't need surgery.
25.Tyler Shough NO vs. ATL
26.*Tyrod Taylor NYJ at BAL
Note: Taylor has been named the starter this week against the Ravens. He's among the unluckiest players in the NFL, nearly always getting hurt when given a chance (most outrageously when he got his lung punctured by a Chargers team trainer), or getting a chance in a lousy situation like this one.
27.*Kirk Cousins ATL at NO
Note: Teammate Michael Penix (knee) has already been placed on IR by the Falcons. Once again, Cousins gets a chance to start, but will likely be without Drake London.
28.*Shedeur Sanders CLE at LV
Note: Sanders is expected to start this week against the Raiders, with Dillon Gabriel working his way through the concussion protocol.
29.*Aaron Rodgers PIT at CHI
Note: Rodgers suffered a minor fracture of his left wrist and sat out the second half of the win over the Bengals. He won't need surgery, but his status is uncertain for Week 12 against the Bears.
30.*Dillon Gabriel CLE at LV
Note: The Browns said that they'd update Gabriel's status with the concussion protocol on Wednesday, but it's expected that he won't start this week against the Raiders.
31.*Jaxson Dart NYG at DET
Note: Dart is currently still in the concussion protocol, but the Giants are optimistic that he'll emerge to start this week. If he's starting, he'd slot somewhere in the 11-15 range.
32.*Justin Fields NYJ at BAL
Note: Fields has been benched in favor of Tyrod Taylor.
33.*C.J. Stroud HOU vs. BUF
Note: Stroud (concussion) has been ruled out for a third game in a row on Thursday night.
34.*Michael Penix ATL at NO
Note: Penix suffered what appears to be a season-ending left knee injury and has already been placed on IR by the Falcons.

Running Backs

1.Christian McCaffrey SF vs. CAR
2.*Jahmyr Gibbs DET vs. NYG
Note: This should be a 'get well' week on the ground for Gibbs and for the Lions offense.
3.Jonathan Taylor IND at KC
4.*Bijan Robinson ATL at NO
Note: Will the Saints be able to bottle up Robinson, much as they did Rico Dowdle two weeks ago? I don't think it'll be the same, but admittedly with Kirk Cousins in there it's a leap of faith.
5.Saquon Barkley PHI at DAL
6.TreVeyon Henderson NE at CIN
7.James Cook BUF at HOU
8.*Rico Dowdle CAR at SF
Note: Dowdle had a receiving touchdown overturned when it was ruled he stepped barely out of bounds 10 yards out.
9.Derrick Henry BAL vs. NYJ
10.Kyren Williams LA vs. TB
11.Javonte Williams DAL vs. PHI
12.Chase Brown CIN vs. NE
13.Travis Etienne JAC at ARI
14.Breece Hall NYJ at BAL
15.D'Andre Swift CHI vs. PIT
16.Alvin Kamara NO vs. ATL
17.Quinshon Judkins CLE at LV
18.Woody Marks HOU vs. BUF
19.Aaron Jones MIN at GB
20.*Kenneth Gainwell PIT at CHI
Note: Gainwell had a monster receiving game against the Bengals, catching seven passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns, one of which came before Jaylen Warren's ankle injury. If Warren plays, Gainwell slides back into the 30's.
21.*Kenneth Walker SEA at TEN
Note: Walker took back the goal line carries from Zach Charbonnet last week, scoring Seattle's lone touchdown.
22.Kareem Hunt KC vs. IND
23.*Sean Tucker TB at LAR
Note: Tucker followed a sneaky good performance in Week 10 against the Pats with a breakout game against the Bills. Will he get that chance again this week against the Rams, and what happens when Bucky Irving returns?
24.*Emanuel Wilson GB vs. MIN
Note: Wilson could be in line for a big workload this week if Josh Jacobs (knee) cannot play.
25.Zach Charbonnet SEA at TEN
26.David Montgomery DET vs. NYG
27.Kyle Monangai CHI vs. PIT
28.*Ashton Jeanty LV vs. CLE
Note: Once again, Jeanty had no chance on Monday night whenever he did get a carry, which was infrequent.
29.Tyrone Tracy NYG at DET
30.Rachaad White TB at LAR
31.Devin Singletary NYG at DET
32.*Bam Knight ARZ vs. JAX
Note: Knight could be in line for a bigger workload this week, if Emeri Demercado (ankle) can't go. There's also a chance we hear from Trey Benson soon. Knight also had a long touchdown run on 4th-and-1 overturned due to a holding penalty.
33.Tony Pollard TEN vs. SEA
34.Tyler Allgeier ATL at NO
35.Brian Robinson SF vs. CAR
36.Jordan Mason MIN at GB
37.Tyjae Spears TEN vs. SEA
38.Devin Neal NO vs. ATL
39.*Blake Corum LA vs. TB
Note: Corum was stuffed three times in a row in one goal line sequence, only to see Kyren Williams come in and get the touchdown on fourth down.
40.Tank Bigsby PHI at DAL
41.Keaton Mitchell BAL vs. NYJ
42.*Bhayshul Tuten JAC at ARI
Note: Tuten had 74 yards and a touchdown before leaving in the second half with ankle injury.
43.Ty Johnson BUF at HOU
44.Dylan Sampson CLE at LV
45.*Michael Carter ARZ vs. JAX
Note: Carter saw an increased snap share due to Emeri Demercado's high-ankle sprain.
46.Isaiah Davis NYJ at BAL
47.Chuba Hubbard CAR at SF
48.Nick Chubb HOU vs. BUF
49.*Ray Davis BUF at HOU
Note: Davis had a big kick return against the Bucs, but played just one offensive snap.
50.Brashard Smith KC vs. IND
51.Terrell Jennings NE at CIN
52.*Kaleb Johnson PIT at CHI
Note: Break glass only in the case of emergency - if Warren doesn't play, and you're desperate.
53.Chris Brooks GB vs. MIN
54.Trevor Etienne CAR at SF
55.Will Shipley PHI at DAL
56.Raheem Mostert LV vs. CLE
57.*Josh Jacobs GB vs. MIN
Note: Jacobs suffered a knee contusion in the win over the Giants, and there's some suggestion that the Packers erred on the side of caution due to his previous injuries and the fact that they were playing on Met Life Stadium's notorious artificial turf. He's questionable so far for this week.
58.*Jaylen Warren PIT at CHI
Note: Warren (ankle) said that he could have returned last week if needed, but he'll be limited to begin the week. If he is fully cleared, Warren will likely land in the top 15 for me.
59.Justice Hill BAL vs. NYJ
60.Bucky Irving TB at LAR
61.*Rhamondre Stevenson NE at CIN
Note: The Patriots expect that Stevenson (toe) will be able to practice on Wednesday - but to what degree they're not revealing.
62.*Emari Demercado ARZ vs. JAX
Note: Demercado suffered a high-ankle sprain in the lost to the Niners. He's unlikely to play this week against the Jaguars.
63.Isiah Pacheco KC vs. IND
64.Samaje Perine CIN vs. NE

3.Puka Nacua LA vs. TB
4.Stefon Diggs NE at CIN
5.Rashee Rice KC vs. IND
6.Davante Adams LA vs. TB
7.*Nico Collins HOU vs. BUF
Note: Collins (ankle) was limited in Monday's walk-through, but fully practiced Tuesday. He'll have Davis Mills throwing it to him again on Thursday night.
8.Justin Jefferson MIN at GB
9.Tee Higgins CIN vs. NE
10.Amon-Ra St. Brown DET vs. NYG
11.Tetairoa McMillan CAR at SF
12.Rome Odunze CHI vs. PIT
13.Alec Pierce IND at KC
14.George Pickens DAL vs. PHI
15.Chris Olave NO vs. ATL
16.Emeka Egbuka TB at LAR
17.A.J. Brown PHI at DAL
18.*Michael Wilson ARZ vs. JAX
Note: Wilson had as big of a game that one can have without scoring, catching 15 passes for 185 yards.
19.DK Metcalf PIT at CHI
20.Michael Pittman IND at KC
21.Christian Watson GB vs. MIN
22.Jauan Jennings SF vs. CAR
23.DeVonta Smith PHI at DAL
24.*Jameson Williams DET vs. NYG
Note: It appears that Williams is a bigger point of emphasis with Dan Campbell calling plays. It also helps his cause that Sam LaPorta (back) is out.
25.Zay Flowers BAL vs. NYJ
26.Jordan Addison MIN at GB
27.Romeo Doubs GB vs. MIN
28.Khalil Shakir BUF at HOU
29.Jakobi Meyers JAC at ARI
30.Wan'Dale Robinson NYG at DET
31.Tez Johnson TB at LAR
32.Parker Washington JAC at ARI
33.*Darnell Mooney ATL at NO
Note: Mooney was targeted seven times in the loss to the Panthers last week. With Drake London (knee) unlikely to play, Mooney should be in line for more targets, but that didn't work out so well the last time London was out and Kirk Cousins got the start against Miami. He's also dealing with a rib injury.
34.Xavier Worthy KC vs. IND
35.Rashid Shaheed SEA at TEN
36.Jerry Jeudy CLE at LV
37.DJ Moore CHI vs. PIT
38.*Elic Ayomanor TEN vs. SEA
Note: Ayomanor was dealing with a hamstring injury late in the loss to the Texans.

40.DeMario Douglas NE at CIN
41.Josh Downs IND at KC
42.Tre Tucker LV vs. CLE
43.*Ricky Pearsall SF vs. CAR
Note: Pearsall was largely a decoy on Sunday in his first game back.
44.Jayden Higgins HOU vs. BUF
45.Cooper Kupp SEA at TEN
46.Dontayvion Wicks GB vs. MIN
47.Andrei Iosivas CIN vs. NE

Note: Palmer (knee/ankle) has been limited in practice so far during this short week.
49.Sterling Shepard TB at LAR
50.Hollywood Brown KC vs. IND

61.Jalen Nailor MIN at GB
62.Tyrell Shavers BUF at HOU
63.*Olamide Zaccheaus CHI vs. PIT
Note: Zaccheaus was limited to 10 offensive snaps and wasn't targeted in the win over the Vikings. He appears to have been surpassed by Luther Burden.
64.DeAndre Hopkins BAL vs. NYJ
65.*Calvin Austin PIT at CHI
Note: Austin saw fewer snaps and ran fewer routes than teammate Roman Wilson.
66.Jalen Coker CAR at SF
67.*Chimere Dike TEN vs. SEA

Note: London is 'week-to-week' with a sprained PCL and is considered unlikely to play this week against the Saints.
78.*Ja'Marr Chase CIN vs. NE
Note: The 'second spitter' was never found, so Chase's one-game suspension was upheld by the league office and he will sit out this week.
79.Garrett Wilson NYJ at BAL
80.*Calvin Ridley TEN vs. SEA
