Best EuroLeague Bets for Thursday, Oct. 23
We got the reverse sweep out of the way at the end of last week, which wasn't terrible timing and can be pointed at some unforeseen rotations at the of a period with two games in four days.
Before another double-game week begins, let's get back on track and go for the type of sweep we much prefer.
All odds for EuroLeague player props current as of 7:15 AM ET Thursday.
PICKS TO CLICK
Elie Okobo Over 9.5 Points (-115 bet365)
Okobo made just five of the 19 shots he got up last week, so he is due for a turnaround. He still got 24 minutes in both contests, which is an NBA-like move that EuroLeague coaches don't always employ. Positive regression isn't the only reason I like this play, as Monaco's Round 6 opponent -- Hapoel -- is both scoring and allowing more than 90 points per game. The buckets should be plentiful, and all we need is Okobo to knock down some shots. He did drop 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting in Sunday's domestic game, which should be a nice boost for the confidence.
Kevin Punter 15+ Points (-120 DraftKings)
It's not fun taking overs against Zalgiris, but I go where the EuroLeague Injury Report points me, and that is safe minutes and heavy usage for Punter with Nicolas Laprovittola and Dario Brizuela unavailable. Tomas Satoransky is still there, as is Juani Marcos, and forwards Myles Cale and Miles Norris could see some action in the backcourt as well, but Satoransky's tendency to pick up fouls could push Punter's minutes into the upper 20s, and if that's the case the usage could be enough for Punter to get there even if it turns out to be an inefficient night.
Markquis Nowell Over 14.5 Points+Assists (-125 bet365)
Please stop booing me! I know we got his props flipped in Round 5 with the points going way under and the assists getting there, but I'm combining the two this time around so we can cover all bases. Nowell is always due to pop in the scoring column, and the minutes should be there again with Trent Forrest and Markus Howard sidelined and Kobi Simmons still working in. For those with time, I'd suggest a smaller wager in advance and another if you can confirm he is listed on the EuroLeague Daily Lineups page before tip-off. There's a chance Matteo Spagnolo could get the nod instead, and that would lower Nowell's floor.
