Nuggets Defeat Lakers, 114-106
The Denver Nuggets defeated the host Los Angeles Lakers, 114-106, at Crypto.com Arena on Thursday.

While this game stayed close throughout, Denver won in wire-to-wire fashion. It was actually tied with two minutes remaining, but Denver closed the game on a 10-2 run to prevail. The Nuggets shot 49 percent from the field and 44 percent from three-point range while holding the Lakers to 46 percent from the field and 32 percent from long range. Denver out-rebounded Los Angeles, 60-45, while outscoring them in second-chance points, 21-12.

The Nuggets (36-16) were led by Jamal Murray, finishing with 29 points, seven rebounds, 11 assists and two steals. Michael Porter Jr provided 27 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Nikola Jokic collected 24 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists and three blocks. Aaron Gordon accrued 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.

The Lakers (27-26) were led by Anthony Davis, accumulating 32 points, nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and four blocks. LeBron James tallied 25 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Austin Reaves registered 15 points, two rebounds, 10 assists and two steals. Taurean Prince led the bench with 13 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Denver has to play again on Friday, staying on the road to play the Sacramento Kings. As for Los Angeles, they also play a B2B on Friday, staying home to play the New Orleans Pelicans.
