Timberwolves Throttle Bucks, 129-105
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 129-105, at Fiserv Forum on Thursday night.

The Bucks (33-19) came into the contest looking to start building some momentum under new head coach Doc Rivers, but the talented Timberwolves (36-16) put an early crimp in those plans by building a 63-53 first-half advantage. However, it was during a third quarter in which Minnesota forged a 39-22 edge that the game was essentially decided. Both clubs shot well, but the visitors' 55.2 percent success rate from the field was still markedly better than Milwaukee's 49.4 percent figure.

Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 26 points, adding nine assists, three rebounds and one steal. Karl-Anthony Towns delivered 19 points, five rebounds and one assist. Mike Conley turned in 18 points, nine assists and five boards. Naz Reid finished with 17 points, four rebounds, one steal and one block. Rudy Gobert generated a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double that included four assists and one steal.

AJ Green paced the Bucks with 27 points, supplementing them with three assists and two rebounds. Jae Crowder totaled 21 points, eight rebounds, five assists and one steal. Giannis Antetokounmpo managed 17 points, seven assists, three rebounds and one steal. Bobby Portis and Brook Lopez provided matching 12-point efforts while pulling down nine and five rebounds, respectively.

The Timberwolves next visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night, while the Bucks remain home and tangle with the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night.
