Pistons Defeat Blazers in OT, 128-122
The Detroit Pistons defeated the host Portland Trail Blazers in OT, 128-122, at Moda Center on Thursday.

There were 11 lead changes in this game, taking an overtime session to determine a winner. With that said, Portland led for the majority of regulation after a 71-56 first half, but the Pistons rode a 36-23 fourth quarter to get the game into overtime. Detroit outscored Portland in the overtime, 8-2, holding Portland to 1-of-9 shooting. The Pistons overcame a 23-point deficit midway through the third quarter. Detroit shot 59 percent from three-point range (16-of-27) while holding Portland to 35 percent (10-of-29). They also out-rebounded them, 58-51.

The Pistons (8-43) were led by Jalen Duren, finishing with 27 points, 22 rebounds and three blocks. Jaden Ivey had 26 points, three rebounds and four assists. Cade Cunningham collected 23 points, two rebounds and five assists, while Marcus Sasser led the bench with 17 points, two rebounds, 11 assists and two steals.

The Trail Blazers (15-36) were led by Jerami Grant, finishing with a career-high 49 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Anfernee Simons accrued 29 points, two rebounds and five assists but suffered an ankle injury. Jabari Walker totaled 17 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two blocks, while Kris Murray led the bench with 12 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Both teams return to action on Saturday, with Portland playing host to the New Orleans Pelicans and Detroit staying on the road to face the Los Angeles Clippers.
