T'Wolves Throttle Trail Blazers, 128-91
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the host Portland Trail Blazers, 128-91, at Moda Center on Thursday.

A 44-14 first quarter set the foundation in this blowout win for Minnesota, maintaining a double-digit lead for all but one minute after that. They got their lead up to 38 points in the fourth quarter, riding a 29-15 fourth quarter to their lopsided victory. The Timberwolves shot 51 percent from the field, 37 percent from three-point range and 93 percent from the free-throw line, while the Trail Blazers shot 37 percent from the field, 28 percent from long range and 70 percent from the charity stripe. Minnesota out-rebounded Portland, 58-49, while out-assisting them, 24-17. They also outscored them in the paint, 66-42, and in second-chance scoring, 27-16.

The Timberwolves (39-16) were led by Anthony Edwards, finishing with 34 points, six rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 23 points, eight rebounds and two blocks. Jaden McDaniels had 17 points, five rebounds and two steals, while Mile Conley collected 12 points, four rebounds and three assists. Rudy Gobert rounded out the starting lineup with 11 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

The Trail Blazers (15-39) were led by Jerami Grant, generating 20 points and two rebounds. Scoot Henderson got a start and had 15 points and four assists. Toumani Camara compiled 13 points, five rebounds and two assists, while Anfernee Simons accrued 12 points, five rebounds and six assists. Deandre Ayton amassed just two points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals before fouling out across 19 minutes.

Both teams are off until after the break. They return to action on February 23, with Portland playing host to the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota returning home to play the Milwaukee Bucks,
