2025 Fantasy Outlook
Okogie signed a guaranteed one-year deal worth $3.1 million to join the Rockets after playing with the Suns and Hornets last season. An adept wing defender and perimeter shooter, Okogie is projected to provide support with the second unit, most likely filling in for Amen Thompson when he takes a seat. Houston is sporting a transformed roster after a robust free-agency period. While several new faces will be vying for playing time, Okogie has the chance to improve on last year's numbers, which were nothing to write home about. He averaged 7.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals in just 15.6 minutes per game over 40 appearances last season, and he'll be hard-pressed to beat those totals based on his spot on the depth chart. Struggles in start
Okogie racked up five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 0-3 FT), one rebound and one steal across 17 minutes during Tuesday's 111-106 victory over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Okogie remained in the starting lineup but logged fewer than 20 minutes for the second straight game. With head coach Ime Udoka seemingly against starting Reed Sheppard, Okogie has been able to stick as a meaningful part of the rotation despite his lack of production. As a player who is averaging 5.5 points and 1.0 steals in 19.5 minutes per game this season, Okogie warrants no real fantasy attention.

Okogie played a sizeable role for the Suns last season, much to the surprise of just about everybody. On a team that lacked depth, he ended the season by starting the final 25 games. During that span, he was the 158th-ranked player in standard formats, averaging 11.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.7 three-pointers. Given the team has added a lot of rotation pieces this offseason, it could be that those 25 games were a best-case scenario for Okogie. While he likely did enough to be retained in the rotation, he is not a player who needs to be rostered outside of deeper formats.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Earning trust from Udoka
Okogie has earned the trust of head coach Ime Udoka, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reported Monday.
ANALYSIS
"He has the same DNA as the guys that we brought in initially and does some of what Dillon Brooks did, and Dorian Finney-Smith, Jae'Sean Tate, those guys," Udoka said. "His defensive versatility, offensive rebounding, being able to knock down those shots, it's what we need at that position. Takes the pressure off Amen Thompson, and so he's a guy you can kind of plug in with all these different lineups, and adds more to our depth than just versatility on defense." Okogie has carved out a sizable role in Houston with 22.5 minutes per night, posting averages of 8.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.6 three-pointers through nine regular-season contests.
