2024 Fantasy Outlook
It was another excellent season for the perennial MVP candidate, who finished fourth in the award voting. The addition of Damian Lillard did little to reduce Antetokounmpo's production. If anything, it actually helped his fantasy value through increased efficiency, with Antetokounmpo averaging 30.4 points per game on a career-high 61.1 percent shooting. He also dished a career-high 6.5 dimes per game. Plus, after a season of decreased defensive numbers, he got his steals average back to 1.2 and his blocks to 1.1. It should be much of the same for the two-time MVP as he enters his age-30 season. The Bucks' core is the same, though it will be interesting to see how the team adjusts with a full season of Doc Rivers. It's possible Lillard takes on some more usage as he gains comfort, but that shouldn't stop Antetokounmpo from being one of fantasy's top producers. As always, fantasy managers in category leagues need to take note of his poor free-throw shooting on high volume, but there are enough ways to work around that to make him worthy of a first-round selection. Likely to stay with Milwaukee
Antetokounmpo said during a stream Thursday with influencer IShowSpeed that he will likely remain with the Bucks, Leocciano Callao of Yahoo! Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
"We'll see, probably. I love Milwaukee," Antetokounmpo said Thursday when asked if he plans to stay with the Bucks. Shams Charania of ESPN reported May 12 that the superstar was open to the possibility of playing elsewhere. According to NBA reporter Chris Haynes, Antetokounmpo was "not pleased" with the team's offseason moves to waive Damian Lillard and part ways with Brook Lopez in order to sign Myles Turner, though ESPN's Ramona Shelburne noted on NBA Today that Antetokounmpo was excited about Turner's arrival. For now, signs suggest the two-time MVP is likely to remain in Milwaukee, though nothing is guaranteed. Antetokounmpo is coming off another outstanding campaign in 2024-25, averaging 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.2 blocks while shooting 60.1 percent from the field across 67 regular-season appearances.

It was another MVP-caliber campaign for Antetokounmpo, who was voted to his fifth consecutive All-NBA First Team in 2022-23. The Greek Freak managed to set career highs in points (31.1) and free-throw attempts (12.3) per game. However, he took a step back defensively, matching his career lows in steals (0.8) and blocks (0.8) per contest. That, combined with his woeful free-throw percentage (64.5) resulted in Antetokounmpo finishing 37th in per-game, eight-category fantasy value. Drafting him at this stage is practically a complete concession of the free-throw category, as his negative impact is one of the worst in the NBA. But, fantasy managers willing to do that or play in points leagues should remain comfortable drafting him in the first round. A persistent knee issue has started to affect Antetokounmpo's availability, however. He hasn't played over 67 games since 2018-19, and he underwent a minor knee procedure in early July (with the expectation of being ready for this season). Still, most of his absences are maintenance-based, like many other top-level players in the Association. Getting 70 games out of anybody is starting to feel like a bonus. Ultimately, it's hard to go wrong drafting a perennial MVP candidate like Antetokounmpo in the first round, even if Damian Lillard steals some usage away during his first season in Milwaukee.

Still mulling future
While Antetokounmpo isn't happy with how the Bucks handled the Damian Lillard situation, Milwaukee's franchise player is looking forward to teaming up with Myles Turner, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
ANALYSIS
"I'm told Giannis Antetokounmpo will continue to evaluate everything. The entire offseason," Charania said. "He took notice of this move, no doubt, but sources tell me he will evaluate more than just one day. And at the end of the offseason, my understanding is Giannis Antetokounmpo will ask himself, he'll look in the mirror, he'll look around him, and ask the question, 'Can I win a championship -- a second championship -- with this team as currently constructed?'" In addition to bringing in Turner, the Bucks were able to strike deals with Bobby Portis, Kevin Porter and Gary Trent. Whether or not that's enough to entice Antetokounmpo to stick around remains to be seen.
