Monday's smaller slate opens nicely for big pitching and I went with the priciest one available. That being the case, I still found a juicy bat surrounded by a bunch of value hitters. There may be some power lacking, but most of these options can at least get on base.
PITCHER
Gerrit Cole, HOU at SEA ($54): It's surprising Cole's price isn't closer to 60, but that makes him an easier pitcher to target. He has 27 fantasy points in his last three starts and not many can top his 35.3 K%. The Mariners don't strike out a ton, yet they haven't been good against righties in the last month with a .137 ISO and .299 wOBA.
Kenta Maeda, LAD vs. MIL ($45): Maeda is another underpriced pitcher with at least 21 fantasy points in his last five starts, mostly due to a solid 29.4 K%. He should get at least eight strikeouts against the Brewers, which have a high 25.3 K% and .312 wOBA against righties in the last month.

CATCHER
Buster Posey, SF at SD ($11): Posey hasn't shown much power this year, but he's still better against southpaws with a solid. 375 wOBA after it was at .415 in 2017. That'll work against Eric Lauer, who's been blasted for 11 runs in his last two starts and has a .364 wOBA allowed to righties.
FIRST BASE
Paul Goldschmidt, ARI vs. TEX ($22): This is my biggest bat on the slate as Goldschmidt can do it all with a nice floor. He consistently gets on base against lefties with a .365 BABIP and has a cool .297 ISO and .427 wOBA for upside. Martin Perez is a great matchup with a 7.08 ERA and troubling 2.27 HR/9 against righty bats, which comes a year after a .362 wOBA allowed.
SECOND BASE
Cesar Hernandez, PHI at BOS ($12): Hernandez doesn't have as much power against lefties, but he'll get on base and a .354 BABIP shows that. David Price's 11-6 record is slightly misleading as his 4.17 ERA is one of the worst of his career and a .317 wOBA allowed to righty bats isn't great, either.
THIRD BASE
Eduardo Escobar, ARI vs. TEX ($13): Escobar could be set for a boost in RBIs on the Diamondbacks, yet his price doesn't show it. His numbers against southpaws are slightly down this year, but a career .318 wOBA is still workable at a cheap price. Perez doesn't have many good numbers the last couple seasons and this year's 5.73 xFIP against righty bats is one of his worst.
SHORTSTOP
Brandon Crawford, SF at SD ($11): I rarely look at lefty-lefty matchups, but Crawford has better numbers (.191 ISO, .348 wOBA) against southpaws this year and that's worth trying for cheap. Conveniently, Lauer hasn't been good against either side of the plate and has a brutal 5.48 xFIP against lefty bats.
OUTFIELD
Derek Dietrich, MIA at ATL ($14):Julio Teheran was lit up by the Marlins for seven runs last start so I wanted to use at least one of their bats. Dietrich is on a cold streak, but still sports a nice .367 BABIP against righties and Teheran usually struggles against lefties with this year's 5.84 xFIP standing out.
Hunter Renfroe, SD vs. SF ($13): Renfroe has supplied a decent 10 extra-base hits in 68 at-bats against lefty arms to go with a career .319 ISO. Derek Holland is having a somewhat successful season, yet still has issues against righty bats with a .341 wOBA allowed.
Gorkys Hernandez, SF at SD ($8): Hernandez isn't roping like earlier in the year, but after being $20 to start the month, he's now a value play with a solid 10 extra-base hits (4 HR) in 102 at-bats against lefties. Lauer has a 4.33 xFIP against righties and is coming off two miserable outings with 11 hits allowed in only six innings.
