The Marlins have scuffled against lefties all season, and they naturally have a less potent lineup with Starling Marte off the roster. Miami owns an MLB-high 29.2 percent strikeout rate and .270 wOBA against lefties during the second half of the season, and a 30.2 percent figure and .293 wOBA when splitting out the data to their work against southpaws on the road. Weathers also just blanked the Marlins over four innings on July 24.

For his part, Quantrill has six straight quality starts during which he's posted a 1.50 ERA and 0.97 WHIP, and Oakland has a .222 average, -8.0 wRAA, and .278 wOBA against righties on the road in the second half.
