Leo Carlsson

Carlsson showed some improvement offensively in his sophomore season, jumping from 12 goals and 29 points across 55 appearances with Anaheim in 2023-24 to 20 goals and 45 points in 76 outings last campaign. Although that’s not a big increase in terms of points per game, the jump did come despite his average ice time dipping to 16:14 in 2024-25 from 18:07 a year prior, so he showed a significant boost year-over-year in points per 60 minutes. It’s still less production than you’d want from the 2023 second-overall pick, but he didn’t have much to work with in Anaheim. No Ducks player reached the 25-goal or 60-point mark last season, but the silver lining is that the franchise has assembled a promising young forward group, including Carlsson, so there’s a fair chance they’ll grow together and combine for meaningfully better production this season.
