2025 Fantasy Outlook
Nothing went right for the Bruins in 2024-25, and that was heavily reflected in career-worst numbers for Swayman. His 22-29-7 record was terrible, along with a 3.11 GAA and a .892 save percentage over a career-high 58 games. This was the first season of an eight-year extension for Swayman, and it's the first time he's been a full-time starter. Swayman has looked great before, but with his performance this past season, it's fair to question how much of that was because of an elite team in front of him and how much was his own doing. Still, based on his track record, the 26-year-old is a prime bounce-back candidate if the Bruins can get back into form instead of plunging into a rebuild. Read Past Outlooks

Gives up six in Sin City
Swayman allowed six goals on 37 shots in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Golden Knights.
ANALYSIS
Swayman's play came back to earth against a tough opponent, as the Golden Knights feasted with contributions in all areas in this game. The 26-year-old is now 2-1-0 with eight goals allowed on 95 shots, good for a .916 save percentage through three starts. The Bruins' road trip concludes with a back-to-back with stops in Colorado on Saturday and Utah on Sunday, so expect Swayman and Joonas Korpisalo to split those starts.

It's finally Swayman time in the Hub of Hockey. Gone is platoon-mate Linus Ullmark, which will give Bulldog his first shot at a 55-start season. The team was already Swayman's - he had the hot hand in the playoffs, delivering a 6-6 record, 2.25 GAA and .933 save percentage as the Bruins abandoned their rotation in a desperate bid to advance. The 25-year-old was elite in 2023-24, delivering a fifth-best GSAx (goals saved above expected) of 22.79. His .916 save percentage was the sixth-best among those with 25 games played or more, and his 2.53 GAA was eighth. Swayman will miss Ullmark - the two men were the best of friends - but he's more than ready to ascend into the NHL's upper tier of starters and carry your fantasy squad.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Possible starter Wednesday
Swayman is projected to guard the road goal in the Bruins' season opener against Washington on Wednesday, per Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Swayman struggled last season with a 22-29-7 record, 3.11 GAA and .892 save percentage across 58 appearances, but some of that was due to Boston as a team performing poorly. The 26-year-old goaltender is capable of doing much better, but it will be difficult for him to recapture his former glory unless the team in front of him improves meaningfully as well.
