We are at the point in the season where the moneylines are going to get in the -300 range on teams that are contending for a playoff spot vs. the bottom teams. This means we have to dig for value even more on these games. I like a lot of the bigger favorites Sunday, so let's see what looks good on the board.
Yankees vs. Indians, 1:05 p.m. EDT
Even though the Yankees and Cole are a huge home favorite at -300, Cole has not hit over 19.5 outs in 10 of his last 12 starts. Cole has only hit over 9.5 strikeouts in two out of his last eight starts. The Indians haven't hit in September, but this is more about the Yankees probably not extending Cole too far this late in the season.
BET: Cole under 19.5 outs (-110 BetMGM) for 1 RWBuck
BET: Cole under 9.5 strikeouts (+105 BetMGM) for 1 RWBuck
Red Sox vs. Orioles, 1:10 p.m. EDT
Nathan Eovaldi vs. Alexander Wells
I haven't laid -2.5 runs much this year and it is risky, but in this case we have a lot of things that line up. The last five games the Red Sox have outscored the Orioles 46-9 and the margin of victory was at least four runs in each. Alexander Wells has an ERA of almost 8.00 and Eovaldi has a 1.90 ERA, 56 strikeouts and seven walks in his last seven starts.
BET: Red Sox -2.5 runs (-115) for 1 RWBuck
BET: Eovaldi over 6.5 strikeouts (-140) for 1 RWBuck
