Miami Marlins at Washington Nationals 7:05 pm et
Sandy Alcantara vs. Paolo Espino
Since August 11th, Alcantara has been one of the best pitchers in baseball going 44.1 innings and striking out 57 batters, while walking only 7 along with a 1.83 ERA and 0.86 WHIP. He has averaged 9.5 strikeouts per game during this stretch. The Nationals are a team that doesn't strike out much and they have been just under 20% in the last two weeks. But you also have to look at the starting pitchers they have faced. They feast on "Finesse" pitchers who are in the bottom 3rd of the league in strikeouts plus walks.
A second bet would be on the over outs as he has gone at least 6.1 innings in all of his last six starts.
BET – Alcantara over 5.5 strikeouts (-140 DraftKings) for 1 RW buck or over 6.5 strikeouts (-143 BetMGM)
BET – Alcantara over 18.5 outs (-120) for 1 RW buck
St. Louis Cardinals at New York Mets 7:10 pm et
Much like Alcantara, Wainwright has been on an incredible run but he has been since July 16th. Over his last 11 starts, he has thrown 78.2 innings with 64 strikeouts, 12 walks, 2.17 ERA, and a 0.85 WHIP. He has gone at least six innings in every start. Citi Field is one of the best pitchers' parks in baseball and the total is only 7.5. The Mets have played much better over the last two weeks going 10-6 with a .268 batting average. But the trends out how the park has played and how Wainwright has pitched for the last three months have me on him going at least six innings with a lead.
BET – Wainwright over 18.5 outs (-120 BetMGM) for 1 RW buck
BET – Cardinals -0.5 (+115 BetMGM) for 1 RW buck
