Best MLB Bets Saturday

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Seattle Mariners

Over 7 total runs (-120 @ Bet365 Sportsbook)

This season-finale series between the Dodgers and Mariners could very well be a World Series preview. The Dodgers are the NL West champions and own one of the deepest rosters in all of baseball, while the Mariners are the AL West champions and feature one of the biggest game-changing players in the sport in Cal Raleigh. Given how good both offenses have been, it wouldn't be surprising to see this game hitting the Over in the total run market.

The series opener only featured five runs in a 3-2 win over the Dodgers, but that has been an anomaly of late. Three of the Dodgers' last four games have seen eight or more total runs, and the same thing has happened in three of the last five for the Mariners. That has also happened in four of their last five head-to-head meetings dating back to last season. There's enough offensive power on both offenses to believe this will be the case once again.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers

Reds +1.5 run line (-180 @ Fanatics Sportsbook)

The Brewers are the better team of the two, but it's unclear just how motivated they'll be for this contest since they already locked up their playoff berth a while ago, they are simply waiting to see whether they'll face the Cubs or Padres in the NL Divisional Round. However, the No. 1 overall seed in the NL is still on the line, as they're just one game up on the Philadelphia Phillies with two games to go.

The same can't be said about the Reds, as they control their destiny and playoff hopes since they hold the tiebreaker over the Mets in the race for the final NL Wild Card spot. Both teams are tied with the same record at 82-78. A 3-1 victory over the Brewers on Friday at American Family Field came shortly after the Mets were handed a loss by the Marlins in Miami. Cincinnati knows it can't lose here, so it should have enough motivation to cover this run spread in a game with plenty on the line.

Minnesota Twins vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Ranger Suarez Over 5.5 strikeouts (-112 @ FanDuel Sportsbook)

Suarez is coming off a subpar outing the last time out, as he took the loss in his Sep. 21 start against the Diamondbacks while giving up six runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out two over four innings. The low strikeout total could be concerning, but that was mainly because he was jumped off and forced to leave early after only four innings.

Suarez has recorded at least five strikeouts in four of his last seven appearances, and he owns a solid 9.0 K/9 since the All-Star break. Facing one of the weakest lineups in the AL, Suarez should be able to turn in a quality showing in his final start of the regular season.
