Forwards

RankPlayerMatchupPriceNotes
1Carlos VelaLAFC at ORL15.0I find it unlikely that Vela plays, but his injury does sound minor and if Bob Bradley is comfortable enough to start him then I would be too. No word on whether or not he even travelled to Orlando as of this writing.
2Jozy AltidoreTOR at FCC10.2Jozy is likely to return after sitting last match. He should be salivating over this matchup sans Kendall Waston.
3Valentin CastellanosNYC v. NE7.6Without Heber, Taty will be relied on to continue his recent flourish. New England are an improved team, but they also haven't kept a clean sheet for a month and a half.
4Diego RossiLAFC at ORL9.5Rossi was pretty one-dimensional against Minnesota. The Loons are a far better defensive team than half of an Orlando squad, though, so I'm willing to double down.
5Gustavo BouNE at NYC11.2With goals in six of his eight starts, he's surely worth a look. I'd prefer deploying him from the bench given the road game against a formidable opponent.
6Brian FernandezPOR v. SKC9.8
7Alexandru MitritaNYC v. NE8.1Certainly worth a look as a Castellanos alternative.
8Adama DiomandeLAFC at ORL8.1Dio has not looked impressive lately, but he's earned a bonus point for shooting in three of the past four matches and could be a nice differential during a crucial but tumultuous fantasy week.
9Jeremy EbobissePOR v. SKC5.3
10Andre ShinyashikiCOL v. SEA5.8Kei Kamara and Diego Rubio are out for this one. Not a bad play, but certainly not the optimal move either.
11Darren MattocksFCC v. TOR6.6
12Erik HurtadoSKC at POR6.0
13Dom DwyerORL v. LAFC5.3With Tesho out, Dom gets another chance to make some noise.
14Justin DhillonSEA at COL4.4One of Dhillon and Silva will start up top. Not the worst dart throws.
15Luis SilvaSEA at COL5.6
16Juan CaicedoNE at NYC5.9Probably not starting.
17Patrick MullinsTOR at FCC4.3Probably not starting.
18Niki JacksonCOL v. SEA4.7Probably not starting.
19Rashawn DallyFCC v. TOR4.0Potentially starting but shouldn't be.
20Benji MichelORL v. LAFC4.6Probably not starting.

Midfielders

RankPlayerMatchupPriceNotes
1Diego ValeriPOR v. SKC13.1Valeri has rarely disappointed at home this year. Against a SKC side missing Russell and Gutierrez, he's likely to give us another good score.
2Maximiliano MoralezNYC v. NE12.1
3Nicolas LodeiroSEA at COL12.7Seattle are infamously shorthanded this week, but Lodeiro chose to stay behind during the break and help the team. His remaining teammates are well-drilled enough that his high production should only be slightly hampered.
4Carles GilNE at NYC12.7With plenty of good or intriguing midfield options, it's tempting to get cute, but Gil presents a great 5th selection if you just take this top group.
5Alejandro PozueloTOR at FCC9.6One of the best indicators of where you sit in the FMLS standings is probably how quickly you bailed on frequently using Pozuelo 1-2 months ago. Unfortunately, this matchup pushes him back to the forefront of the midfield conversation.
6Sebastian BlancoPOR v. SKC9.7The good: Portland will have a ton of the ball in SKC's half. The bad: Portland still are struggling at breaking a bunkering team down.
7Latif BlessingLAFC at ORL10.1Blessing is electric, but he doesn't accumulate bonus points at a rate equal to most good fantasy midfielders. I'm still very much considering him based on goal/assist potential alone.
8Lee NguyenLAFC at ORL6.7Nguyen may be tasked with getting forward more in this match, depending on who else Bradley plays in the midfield.
9Nicolas BenezetTOR at FCC7.5
10NaniORL v. LAFC9.1Bob Bradley knows that if he stops Nani, Orlando will have little else to threaten with. Guess what Bob Bradley is going to make sure LAFC do?
11Emmanuel LedesmaFCC v. TOR7.9
12Jack PriceCOL v. SEA8.2
13Jonathan LewisCOL v. SEA7.4Will be over-owned after a brace last match, but if you think Seattle will be bad then go ahead!
14Michael BradleyTOR at FCC9.1
15Alexander RingNYC v. NE8.6
16Joshua PerezLAFC at ORL4.8Perez is very likely to suit up on the wing for LAFC. The group may lack some chemistry without Vela (probably), Brian Rodriguez, Eduard Atuesta, and Mark-Anthony Kaye but Perez has shown some potential in limited action
17Erickson Yirson GallardoTOR at FCC6.6
18Kellyn AcostaCOL v. SEA5.0Potentially a very good play depending on how Seattle fares. Too many other options for me to dive in with both feet though.
19Cristian PenillaNE at NYC7.9
20Adrien PerezLAFC at ORL4.0Less likely to start than Josh Perez, but still a good possibility. He has shown mixed results in very limited action and would be best coming off of your bench.

Defenders

RankPlayerMatchupPriceNotes
1Jorge MoreiraPOR v. SKC8.9If you have the cash, these first two picks are no-brainers.
2Anton TinnerholmNYC v. NE8.5
3Jorge VillafanaPOR v. SKC8.0I probably won't have the money or the 3rd spot for Villafana, but he'll be another good play.
4Eddie SeguraLAFC at ORL7.4Away and without many players including Walker Zimmerman, I still don't mind the prospects of LAFC's defense. Orlando will be without many key players, too, including leading scorer Tesho Akindele.
5Maxime ChanotNYC v. NE6.9Staying for this match before heading out to international duty.
6AuroTOR at FCC7.9
7Omar GonzalezTOR at FCC6.7Auro's attacking upside outweighs the 1-2 bonus pts that Gonzalez is good for.
8Ben SweatNYC v. NE4.0
9Jordan HarveyLAFC at ORL6.8Make sure he's in over Mo El-Munir who subbed on for him last match.
10Billel TuilomaPOR v. SKC4.9Should be popular thanks to his price tag.
11Steven BeitashourLAFC at ORL6.3
12Tristan BlackmonLAFC at ORL7.0Most likely the replacement for Walker Zimmerman.
13Sam VinesCOL v. SEA4.3If Colorado can control any bit of this match, Vines could capitalize on some chances to get forward.
14Tommy SmithCOL v. SEA4.7Could be higher, but I think Seattle still are competitive in this match.
15Kelvin LeerdamSEA at COL5.0
16Keegan RosenberryCOL v. SEA5.6
17Chris MavingaTOR at FCC5.1If you thought Omar Gonzalez didn't get enough bonus points for a centerback...
18Claude DielnaPOR v. SKC6.2
19Kim Kee-HeeSEA at COL5.9
20Graham ZusiSKC at POR8.0If he wasn't getting forward enough before, probably isn't happening for this match.

Goalkeepers

RankPlayerMatchupPriceNotes
1Steve ClarkPOR v. SKC7.4
2Sean JohnsonNYC v. NE6.9Since USMNT play in NJ on Friday, Johnson should return to NYCFC to man the net Saturday.
3Pablo SisniegaLAFC at ORL4.2Or Tyler Miller. Check the lineups!
4Quentin WestbergTOR at FCC6.2Cincy are out of the playoff and focusing on seeing what their youth has to offer. They also will not have Kekuta Manneh or Allan Cruz in this match. Toronto should keep a clean sheet, but it's hard to trust them these days.
5Tim HowardCOL v. SEA5.6Might be Clint Irwin instead.
6Stefan FreiSEA at COL6.2
7Tim MeliaSKC at POR7.4
8Brian RoweORL v. LAFC7.3At home against a severely depleted road team? Sounds good, but I'm definitely not taking the chance in season long. Sign me up in daily fantasy, though!
9Matt TurnerNE at NYC6.6
10Przemyslaw TytonFCC v. TOR5.2Toronto need points. Cincy are mathematically eliminated. Kendall Waston is out.

Value Rankings

(forwards and midfielders under $7.5, defenders under $6.0; not ranked above)
RankPlayerMatchupPriceNotes
1Harry ShippSEA at COL6.2
2Mohamed El-MunirLAFC at ORL4.5With a spot or two up for grabs in the depleted LAFC lineup, Bradley could play El-Munir higher up the formation against his former team. Definitely not guaranteed to start, so monitor lineups!
3Jonathan CampbellSEA at COL4.7
4Lalas AbubakarCOL v. SEA5.5I feel better about Colorado defenders if they're my Plan B after NYC, LAFC, or TFC guys play (or play most of their matches at least).
5Sam NicholsonCOL v. SEA5.9
6Gary Mackay-StevenNYC v. NE5.5
7Keaton ParksNYC v. NE5.4
8Greg GarzaFCC v. TOR5.2Both Garza and Gutman (whoever starts) are quality fullbacks, but probably don't have a good clean sheet chance in this one.
9Roland LamahFCC v. TOR6.1
10Daniel SalloiSKC at POR4.4

Captain Rankings

RankPlayerMatchupPriceNotes
1Diego ValeriPOR v. SKC13.1Because of how popular Valeri (C) will be, Fernandez and Blanco also make sense if you need to do some catching up.
2Maximiliano MoralezNYC v. NE12.1Heber's absence doesn't help, but Maxi is such a steady contributor that he's always in play for the captain's band.
3Jozy AltidoreTOR at FCC10.2Good chance for a goal or two, but a slight risk coming back from his knock last week.
4Nicolas LodeiroSEA at COL12.7Yes, even with Seattle barely being able to field a team.
5Diego RossiLAFC at ORL9.5Skipped Taty to get here, but I think it's an interesting pick.
