2025 Fantasy Outlook
LaRavia joined the Los Angeles Lakers on a two-year pact over the summer after splitting his 2024-25 campaign between the Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings. He's currently listed as the backup to starter Rui Hachimura at small forward, adding some size and shooting to the second unit alongside Gabe Vincent, Marcus Smart and Jarred Vanderbilt. Last season, LaRavia appeared in 66 games, marking a notable improvement for the 23-year-old following two consecutive years where he managed to suit up for just 35 outings each in 2022-23 and 2023-24. In 20.4 minutes a night, the former first-round pick averaged 6.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.9 steals on 47.5/42.3/67.8 shooting splits. LaRavia should see a similar workload during his debut season in LA, but the Wake Forest product won't offer much value to fantasy managers due to a star-studded roster consisting of LeBron James, Luka Dončić, Austin Reaves and Deandre Ayton. He can be left on the waiver wire for now until further notice, but keep an eye on Hachimura, a player who has battled several minor injuries throughout his six professional campaigns. Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
After being taken with the 19th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, LaRavia was used sparingly during his rookie season. He made just 35 appearances, logging 11.8 minutes per game, during which he averaged 3.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.7 three-pointers. Although the Grizzlies are not particularly deep at the power forward position, LaRavia is likely going to struggle to play more than 18 minutes this season. David Roddy and Santi Aldama have both demonstrated more on the court than LaRavia in their limited minutes, while Kenneth Lofton also lies waiting for his opportunity. Barring a string of injuries to other players, LaRavia is not someone managers need to be considering outside of very deep leagues.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Fitting in nicely
Lakers coach J.J. Redick said Tuesday that LaRavia's improved shape will help his activity level increase on the court, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports.
ANALYSIS
LaRavia said he's "already pretty comfortable with the role that I have," and he's made a strong impression on the team so far. Through two preseason games, he's shooting 50.0 percent from the field with averages of 8.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 19.5 minutes per contest. He started in both of those games, but fantasy managers shouldn't read into that too closely since the Lakers haven't been at full strength yet.
