SLATE PREVIEW
Colorado (vs. Vancouver), Vegas (vs. Chicago) and Detroit (vs. Boston) are the biggest favorites on the Moneyline. The over/under for Senators-Canadiens, Maple Leafs-Panthers, Canucks-Avalanche and Chicago-Vegas is 6.5 goals. The Lightning-Islanders and Wild-Oilers contests anticipate 6.0 goals being scored, while the remainder of the matchups expect 5.5 goals.
GOALIES
Jesper Wallstedt, MIN at EDM ($7,400): Wallstedt has won his last six outings while allowing only seven goals on 209 shots and posting three shutouts. Edmonton isn't an easy opponent, but the 23-year-old netminder should rack up saves and has considerable appeal as a value play for Tuesday's slate.
Jeremy Swayman, BOS at DET ($7,100): Swayman concluded November with three wins in four games, and he stopped 126 of the 132 shots he faced in that stretch. He has also played well against the Red Wings in the past, earning a 7-4-0 record with a 2.20 GAA and a .911 save percentage.
VALUE PLAYS/ONE-OFFS
Kirill Kaprizov, MIN at EDM ($8,600): Kaprizov has seven goals on 25 shots and two assists during his seven-game point streak. He has lit the lamp at least once in five straight outings during that span. Kaprizov has 13 assists and one goal on 35 shots in his previous 11 meetings with the Oilers.
Luke Evangelista, NSH vs. CGY ($3,600): Evangelista has registered two goals, five assists and 10 shots during his four-game point streak. He has supplied a multi-point performance in three straight outings, giving him plenty of bang for the buck upside if he remains hot.
Easton Cowan, TOR at FLA ($3,200): Cowan has found the scoresheet in four of the last five games, contributing two goals, two assists and 11 shots. He has been productive in Toronto's top six and has a position on the team's top power-play combination.
FORWARD LINE STACKS
Avalanche vs. Canucks
Brock Nelson (C - $4,700), Gabriel Landeskog (W - $5,000), Ross Colton (W - $4,000)
Nelson ended a four-game point skid with two goals and two assists in Saturday's 7-2 win over Montreal. He has accounted for five tallies, six helpers and 18 shots in his last nine appearances. Landeskog didn't participate in Monday's practice due to illness. However, if he is deemed fit to play, he has three goals on 17 shots and six points in his last five appearances. Colton has contributed four goals, 34 shots and eight points in the past 12 contests, including one goal, one helper and four shots in three matches going into Tuesday night's action.
Colorado's second line could be an excellent value play if the trio remains hot. Vancouver has allowed the second-most goals per game (3.65) and ranks 30th on the penalty kill this season.
Panthers vs. Maple Leafs
Brad Marchand (W - $6,300), Anton Lundell (C - $5,300), Mackie Samoskevich (W - $3,300)
Marchand has been all over the scoresheet this season, compiling 15 goals and 27 points in 23 games. He has two markers, two assists and 10 shots over a four-game point streak. Lundell has generated two goals on 19 shots and eight points in his past eight outings. Samoskevich has produced one goal, two helpers and 12 shots in four games heading into Tuesday's slate.
Florida's top line won't break the bank, and they have been productive. Toronto has surrendered the fourth-most goals per game (3.56) and the second-most shots per game (31.4) this campaign.
DEFENSEMEN
Jake Sanderson, OTT at MTL ($6,100): Sanderson hasn't earned a point in only two of the last nine games. He has registered two goals, seven assists, 15 shots and 18 blocks over that stretch. He has two goals, three helpers, five shots and seven blocks during his active three-game point streak.
Brandt Clarke, LAK vs. WSH ($4,000): Clarke has collected one goal, two assists, eight shots and four blocks in the last three games. He is poised to occupy a spot in the team's top power-play unit against a Washington team that sits 29th on the penalty kill.
