GOALIE

Cam Talbot, EDM at BUF ($7,200): The Oilers showed up against Detroit on Wednesday with a 6-2 win, and now Talbot faces a weak Buffalo offensive attack. The Sabres rank fourth last in goals (2.03) and last in high-danger scoring chances (8.48) per 60 minutes at five-on-five, after all. Talbot's salary also opens up oodles of spending room.

CENTER

Anze Kopitar, LA at ARI ($7,200): After a career-worst showing in 2016-17, Kopitar is back to being a model of consistency this year. He's collected nine goals, 24 points and 55 shots while logging 22:22 of ice time (3:27 with the man advantage) per contest. With Arizona allowing the most goals (3.61) and seventh most high-danger scoring chances (11.72) per 60 minutes, this sets up for more of the same from Kopitar.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, EDM at BUF ($5,700): Now with Leon Draisaitl and Patrick Maroon on his flanks, Nugent-Hopkins' fantasy setup is significantly more encouraging. In a limited sample, the trio has connected for 10.04 goals per 60 minutes, and Nugent-Hopkins has a rock-solid six goals, 14 points and 34 shots through his past 14 games. It's easy to forget that he's still just 24 years old, too.

WING

Johnny Gaudreau, CGY at DAL ($7,500): After recording 19 points -- eight goals -- through 10 games, Gaudreau was finally held off the scoresheet last time out. He's recorded an incredible 4.68 points per 60 minutes for the campaign, and Dallas has been hit or miss of late with 3.1 goals allowed per contest in November. This is a sneaky bounce-back spot for Gaudreau.

Brock Boeser, VAN at NJD ($5,100): Speaking of points per 60 minutes, Boeser's 4.13 rank sixth in the league among all skaters with at least 300 minutes this season. Somehow, his salary is still sitting well within value territory despite posting 11 goals, 21 points and 53 shots through 19 games. The Devils aren't a daunting matchup, either.

Mitch Marner, TOR at CAR ($4,800): A boom-or-bust option, Marner has collected a goal, 10 points and 16 shots through his past nine games. He's projected to skate with Auston Matthews on the No. 1 line and with the man advantage, which is an obvious boon for the winger's fantasy value. Additionally, this is a manageable salary to chase a multi-point showing.

DEFENSE

Kevin Shattenkirk, NYR vs. DET ($5,500): The go-to offensive defenseman enters without a point through his past four contests, so this checks out as a rebound spot. The Red Wings haven't travelled well this season with the fourth most high-danger scoring chances allowed (12.66) per 60 minutes. Additionally, before his recent funk, Shattenkirk collected five goals, 17 points, 34 shots and 28 blocked shots through 18 games, so the upside is clear.

Derrick Pouliot, VAN at NJD ($3,200): The Canucks are giving Pouliot a legitimate shot, and he logged a season-high 25:08 of ice time and scored a goal last time out. The improved play has legs, as he's collected four points, six shots and eight blocked shots through his past five contests. However, cap relief is likely still his best asset for daily contests.
