2025 Fantasy Outlook
Wisely always put up robust walk rates in the minors and stole more than 30 bases on two occasions on the farm. Unfortunately, he's shown no indication so far that either of those skills will translate at the big-league level, having posted just a 5.5 percent walk rate and gone 4-for-8 in stolen-base attempts in 142 contests. Wisely has graded out well defensively at both middle infield spots and is also capable of handling center field, which makes him useful even if never shows any progress with the bat or in the running game. All three of those positions are spoken for with the Giants, leaving Wisely with either a bench job or a return trip to Triple-A Sacramento. Read Past Outlooks

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Wisely got some run at second base and in center field for the Giants last season as the team dealt with injuries and ineffectiveness at those spots. He did very little with the opportunities, putting up a lowly .497 OPS with a surprisingly-high 30.5 percent strikeout rate. The 24-year-old got on base at a .417 clip during his time at Triple-A Sacramento, and high walk rates have been a theme for him in the minors. Wisely had just a 6.9 percent walk rate with the big club, though, and he swung and missed way too much for a guy with an average exit velocity of just 85.9 mph. He'll compete for a utility job in 2024, but there doesn't look to be much of a path to regular at-bats.
