2025 Fantasy Outlook
A 2022 third-round pick, Tolbert has seen his role grow with each passing season, taking 89 snaps in 2022, 477 snaps in 2023 and then 892 snaps last year. His per-route and per-target numbers were similar the past two seasons, but with twice as many routes in 2024 as in 2023, and scoring seven touchdowns instead of two. While CeeDee Lamb's injury absences were part of that equation, Tolbert at least proved himself capable as a No. 3/4 receiver, which figures to be his role again after the Cowboys acquired George Pickens in May. Tolbert is a clear favorite for the No. 3 WR job, with speedy return man KaVontae Turpin representing the most likely form of competition. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Gains 61 yards on SNF
Tolbert brought in four of six targets for 61 yards in Sunday's 40-40 overtime tie against the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Dallas' coaching staff singled out Tolbert as a player that needed to step up in the absence of CeeDee Lamb (ankle). The 26-year-old wideout answered the call and surpassed his entire receiving production through three weeks in Sunday's contest. Tolbert finished third in targets and receptions for the Cowboys in Week 4, giving him deep-league appeal for next Sunday's tilt against the Jets.

As a rookie in 2022, Tolbert was a hot name in the preseason. He followed that up by catching two passes for 12 yards all season. Last year, Tolbert saw his role increase. The receiver frequently played between 23 and 30 snaps. Tolbert was also targeted between three and five times in seven games. Despite seeing opportunity, he ended the season with 268 yards. With Michael Gallup no longer with the team, Tolbert could become an every-down player. It’s reasonable to predict a third-year breakout for the receiver.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
More space with Pickens blanketed?
Patrik Walker of the Cowboys' official site believes that George Pickens will be shadowed by Sauce Gardner during Sunday's game against the Jets, which could lead to Tolbert getting more looks from Dak Prescott in the passing game.
ANALYSIS
Tolbert is coming off his best performance of the season, when he caught four passes on six targets for 61 yards during the Cowboys' Week 4 tie to the Packers. The fourth-year wideout should continue to see more targets for as long as CeeDee Lamb is out due to an ankle injury, but Tolbert could be relied on even more against the Jets if Gardner travels with Pickens. Tolbert's presence will be even more important Sunday given that speedy wideout KaVontae Turpin has been ruled out due to a foot injury.
