A seventh-round pick in 2023, Brooks saw little action as a rookie, but he did what he could with his opportunities and caught all six of his targets, with four of them coming in a Week 10 rout of the Giants. Michael Gallup is now a Raider, leaving the Cowboys' No. 3 receiver job open, and Brooks will head into training camp competing with Jalen Tolbert and others for the available snaps. Brooks showed up on the Cowboys' Week 16 practice report Thursday as limited due to a knee injury and didn't handle any reps Friday before the team made a decision on his status ahead of the weekend. With Brooks out of the lineup Sunday, Jalen Tolbert, KaVontae Turpin, Jonathan Mingo and Ryan Flournoy will be the tertiary wide receivers behind starters CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
A seventh-round pick in 2023, Brooks wasn't very productive in college and lacks standout speed or agility, but his size, strength and ability to bully his way to 50-50 balls could allow him to carve out a role in the NFL as a chain-mover and red-zone option. With Noah Brown now in Houston, Dallas has an opening for a physical depth receiver who can contribute as a run blocker and made contested catches, a job Brooks seems well-suited for.
