NFL Picks and Props for Week 8
The 2025 National Football League regular season hits Week 8, and we won't have any European games this week, while six teams are on a bye. So, our choices are a little thinner than usual.
In Week 7, we hit on three of the four props in the weather-affected New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears game, while splitting the props on the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns contest, also impacted by weather.
This week, we do not have nearly the same issues at any games, but it's always something to check as we get deeper into fall and winter. Weather can be a problem, and cold, wind and rain/snow is a lot more prevalent. Let's get started!

Miami Dolphins at Atlanta Falcons Prop Plays
*Best lines at time of writing listed
On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins will certainly be glad to take refuge under the roof of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium rather than be outside in the elements like last week in rainy, clammy and windy Cleveland.
However, the Dolphins will have to contend with one of the top running games in the NFL, as the Falcons rank 4th in rushing yards per game (136.3). RB Bijan Robinson is one of the best, if not the best, running backs in the league. His understudy, RB Tyler Allgeier, is pretty good, too.
With starting QB Michael Penix Jr. dealing with a bone bruise, and reportedly likely to sit, that will put more pressure on the run game. It remains to be seen how effective 37-year-old QB Kirk Cousins will be after he has been in moth balls for most of the season.
Really, there is very little reason to put much on Cousins' plate, as the Dolphins rank last in the NFL against the run, allowing 159.3 yards per game. Miami gave up three rushing touchdowns and 84 yards to RB Quinshon Judkins in the slop in Cleveland last week. Prior to that, Chargers fill-in RB Kimani Vidal gashed them for 124 yards in South Florida, and Panthers RB Rico Dowdle ran wild for 206 yards in Week 5 against the Fish.
We're going to load up against the Dolphins here with several rushing props involving the Falcons:
On DraftKings, you can take Robinson to get to 25+ rushing yards in the first quarter for a surprisingly low price, -106. Take advantage of that, as Atlanta is likely to go to the ground early and often as they try to get things established early.
I also like Robinson's total rushing attempts for the game, as there is no reason for Atlanta to get cute here. Pound it, then pound it some more. Miami has struggled against much lesser backs, so just give them a dose of No. 7, and don't look back, while letting Cousins serve as a caretaker.
In addition to that, let's go high on Allgeier. He could possibly start for a lot of teams, and the former BYU standout is a legit option, both with his feet, and catching the ball out of the backfield.
Best Prop Pick: Falcons RB Bijan Robinson - 25+ 1Q Rushing Yards (-106 at DraftKings)
Best Prop Pick: Falcons RB Bijan Robinson - Over 17.5 Rush Attempts (-102 at DraftKings)
Best Prop Pick: Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier - Over 39.5 Rushing Yards (-111 at DraftKings)
Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos Prop Plays
We're simply looking to two games for our props this week, rather than going with three or four different games.
In the late-window, let's continue to pick on the struggling passing defense of the Dallas Cowboys.
The Pokes visit the Mile High City to take on QB Bo Nix and the Broncos. Denver's offense came alive in the nick of time last week, piling up 33 points in the fourth quarter to avert disaster against the New York Giants . Now, the Broncos look to carry over the momentum against one of the leakiest pass defenses in the league.
Dallas is last in the NFL with 401.6 total yards and 260.3 passing yards allowed, while ranking 30th in both rushing yards (141.3) and points (29.4) allowed per game. In other words, the Dallas defense is terrible in all facets.
It's hard to envision a scenario where Broncos QB Bo Nix throws for Under 234 yards. That's his passing yardage threshold. The Alt Lines are attractive at 250+ Yards (+124), 275+ Yards (+220) and 300+ Yards (+370) for the chance to nearly quadruple up. He has thrown for 234 or more yards in three of his past four games, and we could easily see him posting his second 300-yard game of the season. To be on the safe side, though, we'll settle on the 250+ Alt Prop, still at plus-money.
Someone has to camp under those downfield strikes, right? It's crazy that Broncos WR Courtland Sutton has an Over of just 60.5 receiving yards. I plan to play this one rather aggressively myself.
In addition, WR Marvin Mims Jr. is coming off a season-best 85-yard performance against the Giants, mostly confined to that explosive fourth quarter by the Denver offense. He has reached 30 or more receiving yards in each of the past two outings, and three of the past four games.
Best Prop Pick: Broncos QB Bo Nix 250+ Alt Passing Yards (+124 at FanDuel)
Best Prop Pick: Broncos WR Courtland Sutton Over 60.5 Receiving Yards (-114 FanDuel)
Best Prop Pick: Broncos WR Marvin Mims Jr. Over 29.5 Receiving Yards (-114 FanDuel)
