Myers came out of nowhere in 2024 to stabilize Milwaukee's rotation after the organization traded away Corbin Burnes last winter. Myers inked a minor-league deal with the Brewers in November of 2022 and spent most of the following campaign with Double-A Biloxi, where he posted a 5.03 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in 27 outings. He made his MLB debut in April of last season and had a 5.40 ERA in his first seven appearances, but he pitched to a 2.43 ERA the rest of the year and finished 2024 with a 3.00 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 127:36 K:BB across 138 innings. Myers' results may have been bolstered a bit by Milwaukee's strong defense, as evidenced by a 3.97 xFIP and 4.19 xERA, so some regression in 2025 wouldn't be surprising. A 22.3 percent strikeout rate limits his fantasy upside, and the unproven track record furthers the risk. ANALYSIS
Per MLB.com, Myers has resumed a throwing program and completed a bullpen session earlier this week since sustaining a left oblique strain in his final Cactus League start March 15. Before he's activated from the IL, Myers will likely need to complete a few more side sessions, face hitters in live batting practice and then embark on a minor-league rehab assignment. The Brewers are hopeful that the right-hander will be ready to make his season debut around mid-April.
