THE SLATE
FC Bayern Munich at AX Armani Exchange Milan
Per an official announcement from the EuroLeague, "The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 30 game AX Armani Exchange Milan vs. FC Bayern Munich scheduled to be played on Friday March 18 has been suspended. Bayern requested the suspension after several team members tested positive for COVID-19, which leaves the team without the minimum eight players on the Authorization List fit to play."
ALBA Berlin at Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz
Status Check: Maodo Lo (BER), Marcus Eriksson (BER), Johannes Thiemann (BER), Louis Olinde (BER), Jayson Granger (BKN)
Best Bets for Success: There is not too much on the line in the first game up Friday, but it could be a more entertaining affair, as the over/under is nearly 10 points higher than it is on the next game. Wade Baldwin seems bound to draw a few eyeballs, having averaged 18.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.6 triples over his last 12 games. Matt Costello's price jumped significantly on DraftKings, but with an average of 30.4 DraftKings points over his last five appearances, he could still be a bargain. Luke Sikma's going to be tough to pass up at $9,000, as only one player is returning more average value and Baskonia ranks bottom-3 against forwards in points, rebounds and field goal attempts.
DFS Darlings: ALBA will be down its top two backcourt players in this one, so Jaleen Smith looks like one of the best bargains on the board. Smith averaged 20.9 DraftKings points over his last seven games, and he should get even more opportunities Friday. Yovel Zoosman can be considered at $6,300, as can Oscar da Silva with Thiemann sidelined. At least a couple Baskonia players will take on their former team Friday, and at just $8,100, Rokas Giedraitis looks like the best bet on DraftKings. Alec Peters also is pretty affordable at $7,700.
Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade at FC Barcelona
Status Check: Austin Hollins (CZV), Maik Zirbes (CZV), Cory Higgins (BAR), Sertac Sanli (BAR), Pierre Oriola (BAR)
Best Bets for Success: This contests figures to be a hard-fought affair, as the visitors are trying to improve their spot in the reconfigured standings and the home team is trying to move back into first place. Nikola Mirotic had his best game in a while his last time out and remains the frontrunner for the MVP award. Nikola Kalinic remains the steadiest player on his squad.
DFS Darlings: With Sanli not 100 percent, Brandon Davies looks pretty good at $7,400. Ognjen Dobric is slightly pricier than we'd like, but he's also in play at $7,900 with Hollins unavailable..
