Kirby Smart has had Josh Heupel's number in this series. While Tennessee has rolled out some incredibly potent squads during Heupel's tenure, they always hit a wall when they meet Georgia.
The Bulldogs have won eight straight against the Vols, and the latest win came last October when Georgia came away with a convincing 31-17 win. We now look to this year's matchup, and the biggest change for these teams is at the quarterback position. Joey Aguilar has looked excellent through the first two games, easing the blow of Nico Iamaleava's departure.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs' offense appears to be struggling with Gunner Stockton. It's possible that Kirby Smart is hiding his playbook for the first two weeks to foil Heupel again, but even the most basic Georgia offense could have had more success in the first two weeks.
Despite those question marks, Georgia's hallmark is its defense. We'll see how good Tennessee is as they face their toughest defensive test of the season. Georgia will employ exotic looks in the secondary to keep Aguilar guessing, and will create mismatches with their linebackers, who will crash through missed blocks and hassle Aguilar all day.
During this dominant run by Georgia, Heupel's offenses have only managed 13 points per game against Smart's imposing defense. I see no reason why the needle will move from that fact. Georgia's offense needs to wake up, but it should be able to tamp down Tennessee's effort. I like the Under here as well, but I'll lay the points and go with the Bulldogs.

Georgia vs Tennessee Predictions for Week 3
Can Joey Aguilar rise to the occasion? That's the pressing question in this game. It's his first time on a stage this big, and Georgia's defense will be the toughest unit he's ever faced in his playing career.
On the other side, Stockton came through in clutch moments last season, and he understands how to play through the pressure. He's been very mediocre all season, but he has great wideouts like Zachariah Branch and Noah Thomas who are waiting to break out, and he's got a stable of great running backs at his disposal.
I bid good luck to Star Thomas and DeSean Bishop, as they'll have a hard time finding daylight out of the backfield against Georgia's defensive front. Lack of success in the running game will force Heupel to air it out, and how Aguilar responds will be the difference-maker. I think Georgia will struggle to score in the beginning, but they'll take over in the second half and keep Tennessee off the board.
