College Basketball DFS: Saturday, December 6 Picks & Predictions

DraftKings is offering three separate slates Saturday, so it's a full day of action. We'll concentrate on their main slate, which features eight games with tip-offs between noon and 3:00 EST. There's a $1,000 first place prize in a small 294 entry tournament in the 3k Heating Up.

Led by Cameron Boozer ($11,600), there are four players priced up in five-figures. This is going to create fascinating lineup builds, as anyone who uses those options gets elite upside but will have to dig deep to find value. All four of the premium pay ups are forwards, which I prefer to lock down at least one ace in my builds. But I also prefer balance over stars and scrubs. I'll throw caution on Boozer specifically given the difficult road matchup against Michigan State, who checks in third defensively and 300th in tempo, per KenPom. Led by Louisville - Indiana at 159.5, half of the slate's games feature totals of 150 or more.

Injuries to monitor include Iowa State's Tamin Lipsey ($8,800), Ohio State's John Mobley ($6,300) and Christoph Tilly ($6,400), and Virginia Tech's Tobi Lawal ($8,000).

College Basketball DFS Picks for Saturday, December 6

College Basketball DFS Top Players

Nick Boyd, G, Wisconsin ($8,200)

Friendly reminder that this column isn't designed to offer a complete lineup, but rather a plethora of one-offs in different pricing tiers. If money were no object, I prefer fellow Badger John Blackwell ($9,200) for his more diverse game, but I'm scared to pay more for a player in a game that may be a double-digit victory. The concern on Boyd for me is he's just a scorer, averaging 2.8 boards, 3.3 assists and 1.6 steals. But he's scoring at an elite level on volume, taking 13.9 shots on average. Wisconsin has the highest scoring total on the slate, so 20 points and minor peripherals work great at the discount to Blackwell.

Middle Tier

Dylan Andrews, G, Boise State ($5,600)

Andrews offers upside if his shot is falling, we just never know when it will. He is shooting a career-best 43.3 percent if you're an optimist. The floor comes from heavy minutes, and stable rebounding and assist numbers. He's taken fewer than eight shots just three times to date, so there will be all-around opportunity, and his 47.2 effective field goal percentage is right in line with the 47.0 Butler is allowing.

College Basketball DFS Value Plays

Conor Enright, G, Indiana ($4,300)

Perhaps a tough sell on a guy who literally doesn't score, as Enright has taken just 21 shots all season in eight games. But he also never leaves the court, playing 35 minutes against Kansas State and 31 minutes against Northwestern, averaging 4.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists. He can stumble into boards with minutes, and with a close game and high total, the assist opportunities should again be prevelant. Heck, maybe the Hoosiers need him to shoot a few times as pace dictates.

Jaden Schutt, G, Virginia Tech ($3,800)

Overall, we always want multiple paths to points, but for this price, I'm not sure I care that Schutt is a scorer only. He's off a season-high 31 minutes and has now scored in double-digits in three straight, albeit with a total of two rebounds, two steals and one assist. He's averaging nine shots over this uptick in minutes, and if half of them fall, we've got a chance at a 3x return.
