Kings Finish Strong In OT
The Sacramento Kings defeated the host Minnesota Timberwolves, 124-120, in overtime at Target Center on Friday evening.

The Kings jumped out to a strong start and led, 30-22, after one quarter. The Timberwolves turned things around in the second and outscored the visitors by seven points to cut it to a one-point difference at the break. The score stayed close to start the third, but the visitors rallied towards the end of the period to claim a nine-point advantage heading into the final quarter. The hosts bounced back again in the fourth and grabbed the lead just a few minutes into the frame. The score stayed tight the rest of the way and was tied at 115, for the final 40 seconds, before heading to overtime. The Timberwolves claimed the first lead in overtime, but the Kings took over down the stretch and closed out the road win to snap a two-game skid.

In the absence of De'Aaron Fox (knee), Malik Monk led the Kings with 39 points, four rebounds, four assists and a steal, in 33 minutes. Domantas Sabonis followed up with 21 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists and three blocks, while Keegan Murray added 17 points, five rebounds, two steals and a block.

Meanwhile, Jaden McDaniels led the Timberwolves with 26 points and seven rebounds, in 45 minutes. Karl-Anthony Towns followed up with 19 points, six rebounds, five assists and a steal, while Rudy Gobert logged 16 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks.

The Timberwolves (42-18) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Clippers on Sunday. The Kings (34-25) play host to the Bulls on Monday.
