Pelicans Throttle Pacers, 129-102
The New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Indiana Pacers, 129-102, at Smoothie King Center on Friday night.

The Pelicans (36-25) came into the night looking to avenge a loss to the Pacers (34-27) in the first installment of the home-and-home series, and they left little doubt they'd be successful in their quest when they jumped out to a whopping 48-26 lead through one. New Orleans ceded just one point of its massive edge before halftime, and a 31-16 third-quarter advantage put the game away for good. The hosts limited Indiana to 42.1 percent shooting while posting a 55.8 percent success rate from the floor.

Isaiah Jackson led the Pacers with a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double that included one assist and two steals. Bennedict Mathurin matched Jackson's scoring and added two rebounds and one assist. Myles Turner and Pascal Siakam followed with matching 12-point contributions they complemented with five rebounds and three assists, respectively. Andrew Nembhard furnished 10 points, four assists and two steals.

Brandon Ingram paced the Pelicans with 34 points, supplementing them with eight rebounds and six assists. Trey Murphy delivered 28 points, seven boards, one assist and two steals. Jonas Valanciunas supplied 15 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks. CJ McCollum registered 14 points, four rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks.

The Pacers remain on the road and visit the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night, while the Pelicans visit the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night.
