Celtics Extend Streak To 10 Wins Against Mavericks
The Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks, 138-110, at TD Garden on Friday.

The Celtics (47-12) continue to move closer toward being the first team in the league to reach 50 wins in the league with a dominant victory over the Mavericks (34-26). Boston established its terms early on and raced to a 38-32 lead in the first quarter, and the team wouldn’t let go of their advantage following a 28-27 score in the second period. Holding a seven-point lead at the break, the Celtics would also control the game in the second half. A 36-31 score in the third quarter gave Boston a double-digit advantage, and the Mavericks looked deflated in the final 12 minutes. The Celtics closed things out with a 36-20 win in the fourth quarter. With the win, the Celtics moved to 28-3 at home, while the Mavericks fell to 16-13 on the road.

Jayson Tatum led the way for Boston with 32 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Jaylen Brown ended with 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Kristaps Porzingis delivered 24 points, six rebounds and two assists. Derrick White had 13 points and eight assists. Al Horford delivered 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists off the bench. The Celtics shot 55.3 percent from the field and 48.8 percent from three-point range.

Luka Doncic led the way for the Mavericks with 37 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Kyrie Irving recorded 19 points, four rebounds and two assists. P.J. Washington notched 17 points and seven boards, while Dereck Lively II ended with 15 points, four boards and two steals. Tim Hardaway Jr. notched 10 points and five rebounds off the bench. The Mavericks shot 46.8 percent from the field and 26.5 percent from three-point range.
