T'Wolves Defeat Jazz, 119-100
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the host Utah Jazz, 119-100, at Vivint Arena on Saturday.

While these two teams tied the first two quarters, Minnesota outscored Utah by at least nine points in the final two quarters. That 71-52 second half carried the Timberwolves to this blowout win, maintaining a double-digit lead for the closing six minutes. There were 11 ties and 10 lead changes through the opening 30 minutes before Minnesota took control. The Timberwolves shot 46 percent from three-point range (19-of-41), while the Jazz connected on just 23 percent (6-of-26). They also recorded 31 assists to eight turnovers, while Utah had 24 assists to 15 turnovers.

The Timberwolves (46-21) were led by Anthony Edwards, finishing with 31 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, three steals and three blocks. Mike Conley collected 25 points, two rebounds and two assists. Naz Reid tallied 22 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks. Kyle Anderson amassed four points, five rebounds, nine assists and two steals.

The Jazz (29-38) were led by Keyonte George, generating 18 points, three rebounds and two assists. Collin Sexton led the bench with 22 points, two rebounds and 10 assists. Trey Hendricks totaled 15 points and 10 boards, while Walker Kessler compiled seven points and 10 boards. Omer Yurtseven provided 14 points, five rebounds and three blocks off of the bench as well.

These teams will have a rematch on Monday for their next outing.
