Timberwolves Close Out Fourth Straight Win
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the host Houston Rockets, 104-96, at Toyota Center on Sunday evening.

The Rockets got out to a strong start and led, 33-24, after one quarter. The Timberwolves came out better in the second and cut it to a four-point game by halftime. Both sides stayed even through the third, with 19 points each, as the Rockets maintained a four-point advantage heading into the final quarter. However, the Timberwolves took control in the fourth and outscored the hosts by 12 points in the quarter to secure their fourth straight win. This marks the seventh consecutive loss for the Rockets.

D'Angelo Russell led the Timberwolves with 22 points, three rebounds and six assists, in 33 minutes. Anthony Edwards followed up with 21 points, four rebounds, three assists two blocks and a steal. while Rudy Gobert totaled 18 points, 11 rebounds and a block. The Timberwolves shot 47.5 percent from the field, including 10-of-28 from long range.

Meanwhile, Kevin Porter led the Rockets with 25 points, six rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block, in 38 minutes. Alperen Sengun followed up with 18 points, eight rebounds, two assists and a block, while Kenyon Martin added 12 points, five rebounds and two assists. The Rockets shot 42.7 percent from the field, including 11-of-36 from deep.

The Rockets (10-30) will look to bounce back as they take on the Kings in Sacramento on Wednesday. The Timberwolves (20-21) take on the Pistons in Detroit on Wednesday.
