Cavs Defeat Suns, 112-98
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the host Phoenix Suns, 112-98, at Footprint Center on Sunday.

There were only three ties and five lead changes in this game, with Cleveland leading for all but a handful of minutes. They kicked things off with a 35-26 first quarter and put the game to bed behind a 32-19 fourth quarter. The Cavaliers ended up shooting 58 percent from the field while holding the Suns to 44 percent shooting. In addition, Cleveland out-assisted Phoenix, 29-22, while outscoring them in the paint, 52-38.

The Cavaliers (26-15) were led by Donovan Mitchell, amassing 22 points, two rebounds and two assists. Darius Garland generated 22 points, two rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Evan Mobley collected 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while Jarrett Allen accrued 13 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and two blocks. Caris LeVert led the bench with 13 points, seven assists and three steals.

The Suns (20-21) were led by Duane Washington, providing 25 points and three assists off the bench. Mikal Bridges led the starters with 15 points, two rebounds, three assists and two steals. Deandre Ayton totaled 14 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, while Landry Shamet had 11 points, two rebounds and three assists.

Both teams return to action on Tuesday, with Cleveland traveling to face the Utah Jazz and Phoenix going to Golden State to face the Warriors.
