Hawks Defeat Jazz, 115-108
The Atlanta Hawks defeated the host Utah Jazz, 115-108, at Vivint Arena on Friday.

While Utah grabbed the first lead in this game, Atlanta rode a 32-22 first quarter to their win. They actually started the game on a 14-3 run and led by at least four points for the final 45 minutes of this 48-minute game. With that said, Utah got it down to a four-point margin in the final minute but never had a game-tying attempt after those opening three minutes. The Hawks recorded 28 assists to nine turnovers, while the Jazz had 20 assists to 15 turnovers. Atlanta also outscored Utah in the paint, 56-46.

The Hawks (27-26) were led by Trae Young, tallying 27 points, four rebounds, six assists and two steals. De'Andre Hunter had 26 points, four rebounds and three assists. Dejounte Murray collected 13 points, five rebounds, eight assists and three steals, while Clint Capela compiled nine points and 13 boards. Onyeka Okongwu led the bench with 15 points, 11 rebounds and two assists.

The Jazz (27-27) were led by Lauri Markkanen, finishing with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Jordan Clarkson generated 24 points, five rebounds and three assists. Mike Conley provided 20 points, two rebounds and eight assists, while Kelly Olynyk had six points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Collin Sexton led the bench with 12 points.

Atlanta has to play the second half of a back-to-back set on Saturday, traveling to face the Denver Nuggets. As for Utah, they're off until Monday, when they play host to the Dallas Mavericks.
