NBA Pick'Em Today (Tuesday, Jan. 20)
Miami Heat vs. Sacramento Kings: Maxime Raynaud over 13.5 points + rebounds -- PrizePicks, 1:30 PM CT
Even though Raynaud is far from a star player on the Kings' roster, there's no question that his contributions as a role player who has been making the most of his opportunity have been impressive. Even though Raynaud's minutes will be reduced following the return of Domantas Sabonis, the rookie out of Stanford has proven he can deliver decent numbers both as a scorer and rebounder -- even if he has limited minutes. Raynaud has reached this 13.5 P+R line in seven of his last eight appearances, and the one time he didn't reach it, he had 12 points + rebounds. Raynaud is averaging 12.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game across 22 contests since the beginning of December (28.9 minutes per game).
Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Utah Jazz: Jusuf Nurkic over 21.5 points + rebounds -- Underdog, 1:30 PM CT
Nurkic returned to the Jazz's lineup after a three-game absence due to a coach's decision Monday and posted a solid line of 20 points (9-17 FG, 2-4 3Pt), nine rebounds and five assists in 26 minutes during Monday's 123-110 loss to San Antonio. The veteran big man has cleared this line of 21.5 points + rebounds in each of his last eight outings -- and in 10 of his last 11 contests. Considering that Rudy Gobert's recent performances have been a bit subpar of late, it wouldn't be surprising if Nurkic delivers a solid showing on both ends of the court. The veteran is averaging 14.1 points and 10.8 rebounds in his 13 appearances since the beginning of December, which should also bode well for his chances of hitting this line.
Phoenix Suns vs. Philadelphia 76ers: Jalen Green over 18.5 points + rebounds + assists -- Sleeper, 1:30 PM CT
Green has made just two appearances this season and is set to return to the hardwood after missing the last 33 games due to a nagging hamstring injury. Even though head coach Jordan Ott confirmed Green will be inserted in the starting lineup right away, it wouldn't be shocking if he has a minutes restriction, which would explain this relatively low line when combining the three major categories. Green should be a focal point of the Suns' offense right away while playing next to Devin Booker in the backcourt, and if he gets enough touches, he should have a decent shot at clearing this line. This is a player who posted 29 points, three rebounds and three assists in the lone game he's played more than 20 minutes this season. He's also averaged at least 19.5 points per game in his previous three seasons.
